The Montana medical community stands together against SB99, a bill that would criminalize gender affirming care for transgender youth. These decisions should be made by families and their physicians, not legislators. @MTnurses @MT_Med_Assoc #mtleg

The president of the Montana chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics is speaking against this bill. They are breaking out the big guns here. LOVE to see the professional medical orgnazations step up.

If you too are enraged by this cruel and heartless statement by @POTUS saying that he "stopped thinking" about the hundreds of thousands of Americans who have died from #COVID19, please contact him and let him and his administration know. whitehouse.gov/contact/

The GOP Florida legislature is now compiling a list of names and titles of university educators and staff who do work related to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Ron DeSantis wants them rooted out of higher education. That's how things are going in “free” Florida. 👇🏼
Florida House Republicans are using fear and intimidation to abolish Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs from higher education. University Presidents will be afraid to speak out and possibly lose funding or worse. This is the new McCarthyism of Ron DeSantis.👇🏼

The federal free N95 mask distribution program at pharmacies ended months ago. US is in midst of #COVID surge. Please urge the White House and Congress to Mail Free N95 Masks to the Public! Send an email here: actionnetwork.org/letters/fr… #FreeN95s #BringBackMasks

After logging off for a few days, I must address this tragedy. The state legislature — namely the ‘freedom caucus’ — has bullied and threatened their way into slashing basic healthcare for a small group of LGBTQ youth. This is politics, not medicine. thestate.com/news/politics-g…

It’s absolutely wild to me that we’re pretending that the higher than average number of respiratory tract infections and the pandemic of adults with pneumonia this year is not a warning sign of immune impairment. This is literally how immunodeficiency would present.

I was given subpar treatment by a doctor today because I asked him to wear a mask. Masks are still mandated by law in clinical spaces here, he had cold symptoms, and I am immunodeficient. He didn't even have a mask available to put on, he had to ask the front desk for one.

Fuck the people tell YOU to put YOUR body at risk. Are they payin your medical bills? They gonna go to your family and explain what happened? They gonna support your kids and dependents? Are they gonna pay for the casket? No. So fuck em and their little opinions.

#LongCovid is a reminder that even mild cases of #COVID19 can have serious, long-term consequences. Be careful not to overdo it with exercise, as it can exacerbate symptoms and prolong recovery. Take care of yourself and listen to your body. #COVID19Recovery

Just so you all know, I'm not asserting widespread and clinically significant immune dysfunction after mild Covid. I'm suggesting that *some people* undergo clinically significant immune dysfunction after getting infected *over and over and over and over and over and over*
If people want to assert widespread & clinically significant immune dysfunction after mild COVID, it should be done in peer reviewed journals. These claims necessitate peer-review by qualified immunologists & epidemiologists. Lay media cannot adjudicate this.

While academics battle this out in peer-reviewed journals, doesn’t it make sense to take precautions to limit disease transmission in the meantime? Why would a doctor encourage mass disease in children while there is real potential that immune dysfunction/ damage is the reason?

To suggest people shouldn’t be talking about this because of “science” is very strange. Policy right now is being decided on by science but shhh don’t talk about the science because we can’t be 100% sure? Precautionary principle?

In 20 years an entire generation of young people are going to be disabled and they are going to ask us why we didn’t do anything to protect them when they were kids and the only answer we will have is “but the economy”

We’ve reached the stage of the pandemic where I have to choose between my survival & my kids’ futures. I guess I’m sending them back in-person since it’s not getting better & there are never going to be accommodations for the high-risk. We have been abandoned, and I’m exhausted.

Took me a long time to realize there is a group of people out there that stands to profit from more covid. It just wasn’t on my bingo card when the pandemic started. Once you realize that, though, everything makes sense. (1/)

It was clear right from the beginning of SARS-Cov2 pandemic that Big Pharma's pandemic profiteering motive was the cornerstone of West's pandemic response. Non-pharmacologic protective measures is too costly or unprofitable for gov't or business, so it’s out of the equation.

Covid never became mild. The vaccines made dying from acute infection less likely, but did not remove risk of permanent heart, brain, organ & system damage from infection. 1/2 the country blames vaccines for cardiovascular damage from SarsCov2 that was identified in early 2020.
