That's a lot of jobs!
Replying to @e2org
Where exactly are the clean energy rollbacks hitting hardest? Let’s look at the damage across domestic manufacturing, battery storage, solar, and wind:
🔋Battery Storage:
-Over 42k annual jobs gone.
-Nearly 64k long-term jobs wiped out.
🚘 Electric Vehicles (EVs):
-EV-related projects account for the single largest long-term blow, with nearly 255k annual operational jobs no longer supported.
-Another 28k annual construction jobs vanished.
😎 Solar Power:
-Nearly 33k annual construction jobs lost.
We are actively defunding the exact domestic industries we need for American 🇺🇸energy independence.
E2’s *NEW* tracker shows continued volatility for the clean energy sector:
May Projects/Capacity/Jobs:
📈 Announced: 14 new projects, 1 GW, 7.5k jobs added
📉 Canceled: 9 projects, 1.8 GW lost, 10K jobs lost
Developers are rushing to beat federal tax credit expirations, but policy uncertainty is biting hard. 🧵👇(1/5)

E2 tracked 54 new utility-scale RE and storage projects totaling nearly 12.4 gigawatts (GW) during Q1 2026.
54 new utility-scale announcements are ~2X the number of active projects announced in all of 2025.
Why?
Rush to meet July 4th tax date.

Project abandonments are accelerating!
38 generation and storage projects that would have created 8 GW of new capacity, $13B in new investment, and 33,000 new jobs have already been canceled in the first three months of 2026 -- more than half of all the projects, jobs, and GW lost to cancellations in all of 2025.

If we're going to meet rising energy demand, we're going to need solar and storage.
