Abdul El-Sayed literally just repeated the gist of the claim that got him in hot water this week: โ€œIt shouldn't be this hard to pay taxes and know that that money's gonna be spent on you and your kids, instead of dropping bombs on somebody else and their kids.โ€ That is the essence of the highly controversial ad that caused Haley Stevens to break with him and sparked condemnation from Jewish leaders across America.

This is actually kind of hilarious. @RoKhanna says he doesn't accept money from lobbyists or PACs. Well, he just solicited my PAC for a contribution, and I'm a lobbyist. Awkward.

Over the past months, a single Wikipedia editor has been quietly shaping @AbdulElSayed's entry. The editing has been intensive and highly directed. For example: + Hasan Piker controversy got cut down. + Syed's antisemitism problem โ€“ deleted. + Harris and Obama endorsements went in. + A line saying AIPACโ€™s brand is โ€œtoxicโ€ included. Is it an op? Well, two weeks ago the same editor had this to say in an edit summary on the El-Sayed page: โ€œanother half month of this shit.โ€ ๐Ÿงต

Saying that opposition to El-Sayed is based on his criticism of Israel is like saying opposition to David Duke when he ran for governor of Louisiana in 1990 was because he was against affirmative action. 1/

This post from @wildforcongress sums up the lunatic left maybe better than anything Iโ€™ve ever read in my life. In a nutshell she says โ€œI know @HaleyforMI better than anybody else and sheโ€™s is an awesome, caring, smart, thoughtful person who has worked her ass off for Michigan. However she is now the devil for 1 reason and 1 reason only. She wonโ€™t ignore her moral compass and blindly vote for Abdul Sayed despite his glaring and well documented red flagsโ€ Susan Wild and her ilk are too demented to realize this post says alot more about her lack of courage, ethics and morals than it does Stevens. Basically what Wild is saying is that it doesnt matter if the Dems put a Nazi on the ballot (they did in Maine) a communist, a socialist or a terrorist sympathizer she wont ask questions and will blindly follow the herd. That would have been the easy thing for Stevens to do but she is not gutless and a coward like Susan Wild. With friends like @wildforcongress who needs enemies
I know @HaleyforMI way better than most people on X. She and I came into Congress together in 2018. She was co-Prez of our freshman class. She was incredibly kind to me when my late partner died; she organized a big group of our class to come to the House floor to support me when I spoke about his suicide. We were roommates in 2023, after my wonderful first roomie lost her election; both my adult kids know Haley well and are on a texting basis with her. Weโ€™ve socialized and we have good friends in common. While she and I differ on one impt issue, specifically Israel and AIPAC support, Iโ€™ve never publicly challenged her on those things, because I felt that her good points outweighed the issues I disagreed with her on. Today, that changes. ๐Ÿ‘‡ Haleyโ€™s endorsement of Rogers in the MI senate race is appalling. Not because heโ€™s a Republican, but because what he stands for is what she, and I, and our caucus has fought so hard against. Rogers is a 100% anti-choice politician. He is a Trump loyalist. Heโ€™s shown his Islamophobia in his many remarks against @AbdulElSayed, and with this endorsement, Haley has shown that she agrees with his positions. Iโ€™m shocked by Haleyโ€™s endorsement. Iโ€™m terribly sad and disappointed. Iโ€™m furious and will be more so if we lose the MI senate race. So many people in the Democratic Party have shown so much support to Haley over the years, and she has betrayed them all. If this is because of her new relationship (about which many of us were so happy for her after she lost the primary), all I can say is that any woman who abandons her friends when a new guy comes along is no friend at all. The fallout for Haley wonโ€™t just be in Dem politics; she will be a pariah among her friends in the Democratic caucus in Congress. Only she will be able to decide whether it was worth it.

Sorry, this whole thing is making the Dem Party leaders look like pathetic and selective bullies. Did they do this to Rashida Tlaib when she said she would not endorse Kamala Harris 3 days before the election?
Rep. Haley Stevens has lost access to VAN, Michigan Democrats' voter database, sources tell The Detroit News. Her photo has also been removed from the party's website.

For those claiming โ€œitโ€™s not the same!โ€ - youโ€™re only lying to yourselves. Itโ€™s worse. It was far more consequential. The uncommitted movement that she was a leader of played a major role in the election of Trump.

For no reason, I found myself reflecting today on the 1991 Louisiana governor race. A first round eliminated Republican incumbent Buddy Roemer, and the Republican who went on to the runoff was David Duke. He faced off against the famously corrupt Democrat Edwin Edwards. 1/5

Three days before the 2024 election, Rashida Tlaib announced she would not support the Democratic Party nominee, Kamala Harris. She was not kicked out of the party, had her access to databases shut off, or her profile removed. Funny that.
Congresswoman Stevens is not a current member of the Michigan Democratic Party, nor will she be in the future.

Haley Stevens voted with Democrats 100% of the time in Congress. She asked Abdul to condemn bigotry and now the Democrats have permanently banished her from their party. I guess their โ€œbig tentโ€ doesnโ€™t cover those who want to condemn bigotry. Crazy!

Asked about the indictment, @AbdulElSayed defended the perpetrators: โ€œIt's a lot more about what you're advocating for that gets you indicted or not indicted, rather than what you did.โ€ Sure. When asked about the one who worked for him, the campaign story/dates changed 3 times.

Mark Ruffalo, Iโ€™m in SAG-AFTRA just like you. Our union dues are capped at the first $1 million in covered earnings. That means high earners like yourself donโ€™t pay work dues on earnings above that amount. Why not voluntarily contribute more to help fellow actors who are struggling to afford healthcare and make ends meet? Youโ€™re criticizing Elon Musk over wealth, taxes and accountability. Maybe start by looking at the system you benefit from. Sound familiar?
Elon, you goofy. ๐ŸคชCrashing out, because you donโ€™t want to pay taxes. Donโ€™t want some oversight into all the government money and contracts you made off with. Donโ€™t want anyone looking into exactly what the F you did with DOGE.ย ย And whining about loosing an election. ๐ŸคชThatโ€™s part of democracy, bro. Welcome to America. This isnโ€™t some South Africa back in the day ๐Ÿ’ฉ. You will get use to it. Sometimes you lose. Believe me. Thatโ€™s what politics is. Oh. And. Watch the Elon Musk doc. Itโ€™s wild. theguardian.com/us-news/ng-iโ€ฆ

Wajahat Ali making ominous threats against liberal and centrist Dems, regardless of the outcome of the MI senate race. This is genuinely concerning @fbi @DHSgov
If, God forbid, Abdul loses, this will be a watershed moment in Democratic politics. The fire will rise. It's over. People will be radicalized against corporate, pro-Israel Dems. There will be a reckoning. If, when, he wins, it will be a watershed moment. And that reckoning will still come.
