Positive people are often discarded,
as though the medicine they wield
is not the gift of life-force itself.
As though they haven’t mined for it
on the coalface of rock bottom,
scraping and digging
for each glittering nugget of light.
Dragging it diligently up to the surface
with all the strength and might
of a thousand men,
only to go back down again
for more.
Positive people are not ignorant
to the darkness of this life.
They have dragged themselves
painfully
into the light.
And are choosing to share it
with you.

Replying to @elonmusk
Hopefully, in a few years, we will be able to shunt signals from the motor and sensory areas of the brain to the limbs and enable people to use their hands and walk again

Big news, the FCC voted today to advance new satellite-to-phone rules that could benefit @SpaceX's Starlink Mobile, despite lobbying efforts by AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile to restrict parts of this proposal.
FCC: "This marks a major step to unleash American innovation and investment in next-generation connectivity."
The FCC voted to advance a proposal that would:
• Open up an additional 482 MHz of spectrum for satellite-to-phone services, expanding eligible frequency bands from 5 to 13.
• Eliminate restrictive spectrum-leasing requirements
• Remove rigid geographic coverage restrictions
• Allow more flexible agreements between satellite operators and wireless carriers
• Modernize technical rules to allow more efficient spectrum use
• Reconsider exclusive-use rights for certain satellite spectrum bands
If finalized, these changes could make it easier for SpaceX to expand Starlink Mobile, access additional spectrum, and reduce regulatory barriers.
Here's what happens next:
• Late 2026: Public comment period opens, allowing SpaceX, AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and others to weigh in.
• Late 2026–Early 2027: Companies submit comments and responses arguing for or against specific rule changes.
• Early–Mid 2027: The FCC reviews the feedback, evaluates interference concerns, and considers revisions.
• Sometime in 2027: The FCC holds a final vote to officially adopt the new regulations.
I genuinely cannot understand how anyone can watch a person with ALS communicate through a brain implant and still reduce Elon Musk’s contribution to humanity to how much money he gives away.
The man is helping build technology that could fundamentally transform life for people with devastating neurological conditions.
And we’re supposed to be more impressed by billionaires writing enormous checks to foundations and collecting applause at charity dinners?
Give me a fucking break.
Real generosity isn’t measured exclusively by how much wealth you redistribute. It’s measured by the problems you solve, the suffering you alleviate, and the possibilities you create for people who previously had none.
Neuralink’s early results are a beautiful reminder of that. You cannot put a price on giving someone a way to express themselves again.

Ah yes, let's have Marry Barra lecture Elon on Physics...
General Motors says it will not adopt a vision-only approach to autonomous driving, saying that dropping radar is a "weird religious stance that ignores physics."
"If you scale back to vision-only, physics suggests you’ll be in trouble in certain situations. Radar is so cheap that dropping it doesn’t make sense—dropping it is a weird religious stance that ignores physics," GM Chief Product Officer Sterling Anderson said.
GM says it plans to launch an autonomous driving feature for the highway by 2028.

A person fighting cancer should not also have to become the project manager of their own medical records. We have the tools to help people; we just need to make them widely accessible, and we will.

Pretty wild that Apple has spent basically 20 years telling us that touch-screen laptops are horrible due to ergonomics/arm fatigue and they are going to do it anyways tomorrow -- and not address the problem they proclaimed exists whatsoever. Either way I am pumped.

It is more inspiring to show children what they can build than to dwell on what they cannot.
We are only here for a while. Before we leave the stage, our duty is to open doors for them and place the keys in their hands when they are ready.

Car rental marketplace Turo is introducing the first verified @Tesla FSD (Supervised) rental experience for travelers in the U.S.
Starting on October 28, Turo guests will be able to search, discover, and book Tesla vehicles with FSD (Supervised) activated, using direct API integration to verify FSD status.
Eligible Turo “hosts” who rent out their cars on the platform will also receive a free one-month trial of FSD. Turo said it is working with Tesla to directly access the automaker’s API to verify which cars have FSD enabled.
CEO of Turo. "Our own research shows that 55% of Americans are interested in driverless technology for travel, growing to 71% for Gen Z."
X really is upstream because it’s where many builders, engineers, domain experts choose to post raw signals, actual problems, implementations, debates, and results wayyyyy before those signals are summarized, filtered, or distorted downstream by everyone else.

I’m regularly amazed by the number of people I talk to that have very little knowledge, or even an inkling, of how the lives of billions will soon change with autonomous transportation, Robotaxis and robotics (namely Optimus).
Within 8-10 years, many..then most…will realize there’s no need to own a vehicle (though many will keep one for independence). Car payments, insurance payments and upkeep will largely disappear as household expenses. We’re talking massive monthly savings for most Americans.
With Optimus, households…most powerfully, the elderly…will have a friend, companion, cook, housekeeper and incredibly, the best doctor on the planet, right in their home with them.
GDP growth and productivity will absolutely skyrocket, which will allow for government debt totals to begin moving in the other direction. Slowly at first, and then, really really fast.
These are just a few examples of how the lives of average Americans will radically change for the better, inside of a decade.
When you extrapolate out the other unknown (but coming) advancements from this Innovation Revolution, I’ll just repeat what we’ve been saying for the last 4 years; we’re entering a time frame where there’s never been a better time to be an opportunistic optimist. The pessimists have this entirely wrong. Entirely.
It’s unbelievably exciting.
