Scott Parker will sign a two-and-a-half year contract at West Ham United, with an announcement expected today.
The deal includes clauses that allow the club to terminate his deal should he fail to gain promotion or struggle once back in the PL.

I genuinely think West Ham would be making a mistake overlooking Scott Parker.
I've interviewed him several times. He's always struck me as a consummate professional with an excellent understanding of football.
Three Championship promotions. Knows West Ham and has always spoken highly of them despite his departure, which put a lot of fans off of him, but I think enough time has past.
His Premier League record isn't great, I get that. However, how many realistic candidates understand the club, its supporters, the Championship (which is the most important thing), and what it needs quite like he does?

I could care less about style of play right now. Club clearly cannot afford to not get promoted. Parker has done it three times and we’re betting on a fourth. Sure up the defence, bring in the cdms and I’ll take points over “style”. Thoughts on Parker can change when/if we go up

Clever from DK to get the new man in for the international break, so that he has almost 2 weeks with our players at the training ground (barring any players on duty) to implement his style & expectations. Good move by the board. Sullivan would have spent the int’l break looking!
