A few weeks ago I made myself a special version of Beren and Luthien, by rearranging the words of the Lay of Leithian from poem to prose, trying to modify as little as possible, and taking the missing parts from Chapter 19 of the Silmarillion. Well, it truly holds. It's beautiful to read and it adds so much to the Silmarillion version. It's a joy. Made with Gemini 3.8 on Antigravity (which is blasphemy for some, but I care about the result).

The dire wolf pups just had their biggest check-up yet. 🐺 CT scans, heart scans, X-rays, bloodwork, even whole-genome sequencing. The verdict? Happy and healthy from snoot to tail. But how big are they? Scroll for the official weigh-in. ⬇️ (1/10)

Not bad.
Darkness is the universe’s default. It requires nothing—no energy, maintenance, or will. Left alone, the cosmos settles into quiet, cold, unlit stillness. Light is an interruption, existing only where energy is continuously spent to create and sustain it. Turn off the source and darkness resumes; it was never gone. This argues not for darkness but against it. The ease of the dark is not a virtue but the absence of effort. What must be maintained has already proved worth maintaining. Every lamp, fire, and conscious mind refuses the path of least resistance. We keep the light not because it is natural, but because we choose it—the effortless alternative offers nothing.

For a little while humans will be meat proxy for "accountability". You cannot jail a LLM. But we will quickly forget about that part too: why maintaining such a bureaucracy when things can be easier, and cheaper.
I hate this slide every time it comes up, and now from CSAIL This has been false since before the slide was made. Automated systems make management decisions all the time (trading, logistics, customer service, insurance) & pretending they don't actually launders responsibility.

It's kinda sad, nature should be elegant. Still, it's amazing that some people managed to create thinking machines.
If we want to continue progress in science, we must be prepared to acknowledge that the correct description of nature will eventually simply be too complicated for humans to understand. I do not think it is wise to make human understanding a requirement. AI is the way forward.

I take the dinoslop. We don't exactly know how they looked like anyway.
Replying to @georgebsocial
Wolly Mammoths and are technologically doable because of adequately preserved DNA. Authentic dinosaurs are a longshot; you’d probably end up having to guess a lot of DNA sequences and end up with dinoslop.

Aaaand I finished it in 2 task, not kidding. Now I need to wait 166 hours. Not kidding even here. Argon medium
We’re rolling out Gemini 4 Argon in Antigravity to paid Google AI Pro subscribers today. Demand has been incredible and we've scaled capacity deliberately to get here. We’ve rolled out a separate weekly-only Argon quota for Pro on top of the existing Gemini bucket for 3.8 Flash so you have the best of Gemini for all your tasks.

Shit's quite crazy. Useless and awesome. Also, not useless because the suction/rocket tech will definitely be implemented in other cars in the future and will dramatically increase safety.
