Can a creator’s relationship with their audience become an actual economic relationship without losing what made that connection meaningful? I asked that about Soneium last week. Today they published their answer, and it’s more detailed than I expected. Tokenized IP brings intellectual property onchain, sitting on three layers: an IP Registry recording who created a work, an IP Graph recording how works relate to each other, and an IP Execution Layer where royalties and licensing flow under rules the IP owner sets. The first case isn’t hypothetical. @Moriusa_STPR, from Tokyo-based Super State Holdings, is coming to @soneium as an IP Token, with an IP Vault alongside it. That lands on a network where 250+ applications across music, games, anime, film and collectibles are already live. One detail deserves more attention than it will get. Through ERC-8432, licensing terms can be queried and settled by people and by AI agents. The implication, as I read it, is that the first party asking permission to use a creator’s work may not be a person at all. There’s also SONEIUM, planned as the economic layer connecting creators, IP owners, builders, fans and investors. Further details on the TGE will be announced later, which is as far as the thread goes. Which makes this the week to say the boring part out loud. No token has launched. Nothing is trading. No contract address has been published. Anything using that ticker right now is not theirs.
