The space program in the 1960s inspired thousands of young kids across the US to dream big, including this 5-year-old from small town TN who never wanted to take off his astronaut sweatshirt. Thank you @NASA for your impact on generations. #OneGiantLeap #Apollo50th #STEM

To help celebrate our country’s 250th anniversary year, I just finished David McCullough’s book on John Adams, a Founding Father and the second president, who was born #OTD in 1735. My copy of the book was signed by the author on 9/7/01, four days before 9/11.

A very happy "Heavenly Birthday" to my Dad, the one and only Charles Edward Daniels. It’s hard to believe that today you would have been 90. I seems like almost yesterday that we were celebrating your 80th. Dad, you are missed every day, and I sure wish we had you around for some of your guidance, wisdom and hugs. Happy Birthday, Dad. You are loved and I know one day I'll see you again. - CD Jr.

Johnny Carson would have been 101 today. Let that sink in.

NASA just shared this insane new shot of the Grand Canyon from space 💥 From orbit, the Grand Canyon still looks immense—a vast, winding scar sliced into the Colorado Plateau by the Colorado River over roughly 5–6 million years. Stretching 277 miles long, up to 18 miles wide, and more than a mile deep, its layered walls and dramatic depth remain unmistakable even from hundreds of miles above Earth. Yet the view is also a quiet reminder of scale: what feels monumental to us on the ground shrinks into a single, striking detail when seen against the full curve of the planet.

Historians now believe that at one time or another literally every American alive in the 60s and 70s owned one of these.

Over 24 hours later, I’m still shaking my head over this fiasco. This is professional football where coaches and quarterbacks get paid a lot of money to not make high school level mistakes.
The Commanders can't get the play off in time and this game ends in a tie
