“To be a good designer you must be a good engineer in every sense: curious, inquisitive.”

Anyone from Claude Code team around?
When using Codex, I rely heavily on having one thread orchestrate others. It can create new threads, rename them, delete them, and coordinate work between them. I can also use side chats to send messages to the main thread or any other thread.
Effectively, the possibilities for coordinating work across threads are almost endless.
But the Claude Code's desktop app, is extremely limited by comparison, to the point where I can only use Claude for relatively basic tasks.
Then there's the issue of keyboard shortcuts. For some reason, Claude seems to have an aversion to macOS keyboard conventions. I can't even assign a shortcut to something as simple as renaming or pinning a thread.
Instead, I have to use the mouse to right-click a thread and then press a single key to trigger a menu command. It's an extremely bizarre design choice, especially for a developer tool.
I've heard great things about Opus 5.5, and I'd love to take full advantage of it. But the Mac app is so limited that I simply can't use the service anywhere near its full potential.

I’ve started to write a little bit on my page thaliaeche.is/iconic. I’ll make sure to write a bit more and I’ll think about some talks. Let me know if you want any topic in particular 😊

Today I am open-sourcing my custom SwiftUI animation sequencing package that I developed to drive the animations in Letters. It can do all sorts of things!

Today, I'm sharing Milepost!
It's a driving journal on iOS that lets you record your drives, cars, music, photos, and more. You can share them with friends, get monthly recaps, and even let agents recommend routes with our MCP server.

The new Codex prompt prediction thing really does feel spooky. Would love to know how it can be so accurate.
What a great way to demo the problem with textual outputs and the benefits of a visual richer response! I've been super interested in this space and building towards something similar lately. 😄
Been using this for months and it's so useful!

There's an open-source SwiftUI agent skill that catches the mistakes AI tools keep making: deprecated modifiers, accessibility gaps, performance pitfalls. One command to install, and your AI-generated SwiftUI gets a serious quality boost. hackingwithswift.com/article…
I’ve been thinking about this often.
You can certainly copy a lot from using it, but there’s often a lot of secret sauce under the hood that is not exposed and the details still matter. Otherwise, active engagement, etc probably count more than ever.
How does one find a cofounder for a company. The YC founder match is not really great. Thinking of starting something in the consumer space, iOS, chat bot. Ideally someone who has some experience with startups.
Marvin of course! And I'll have it answer as him: "Brain the size of a planet and you ask me to build a little website!"

I accidentally said it was the wrong date to an agent, ad it made up a bunch of futuristic 2206 iPhone settings.

Duo-Man offers the complete walkman experience on the iPhone Duo. Open the Duo to pick and 'insert' the cassette, Close the Duo to start listening.
Yes, I actually recorded the button clicks and static noise from a real Walkman!
It was fun making this at @bitrig hacks today.
