Must-read. Since October 2023, four-fifths of Wikipedia's article on Zionism has been rewritten. Historians like Benny Morris are cited to say things they never said. Editors banned from the page left their work behind. Wikipedia is where millions go for "neutral" facts, and AI models train on it. This isn't an encyclopedia anymore. It's a propaganda operation with footnotes. teapawt.org/clairlemon/status/2116…

It took you 9 hours to produce a word salad that basically says “nope, not gonna stop trafficking in antisemitism”

I’m in awe at the pettiness and poor judgment in this statement.
Quite a statement from Abdul El-Sayed: "Congresswoman Stevens seems intent on relitigating a primary that ended three months ago."

Jewish voters in Michigan and supporters of Israel: If you had any doubt at all, it should now be gone. As @elilake argued on the @Commentary pod yesterday, El-Sayed is not just an extremist on Israel and very likely an anti-Semite, he’s hard to square with any traditional idea of being for the American idea. He should not get anywhere near the Senate. It is not the body for radicals far, far outside the American mainstream.
Doubling down and not condemning antisemitism. We’ll see if that Sunday rally with Stevens, Clyburn and AES actually takes place.

Abdul El-Sayed is no Democratic JFK. He’s a Democratic David Duke. Patriotic Democrats should oppose him and support pro-American candidates in other races. Loyalty to our party’s highest principles means putting country first.

El-Sayed's campaign declined comment, but tried to get me to put into my story an unverified claim that Mike Rogers met with Siblani in 2024. Either way, Rogers has denounced Siblani. El-Sayed's campaign did not say whether he does, too. teapawt.org/ChuckRossDC/status/211…

Really curious who's gonna win in a VERY important set of midterm elections. IMO these are the most important races: -Grim v. Tanden -Piker v. Jennings -Hasan v. Yglesias I'm really glad I'm on here so much so I can stay abreast of the most important American political fights

I was shocked this caused such a stir—because I have heard this EXACT rhetoric from Abdul El-Sayed: Abdul El-Sayed on April 7: "I don't pay taxes so another country gets a tank or a bomb. I pay my taxes so our kids get schools and healthcare." This was at a rally where Hasan Piker also said this: "every single dollar that is spent on a bomb is stolen from each and every one of you."
New @RebellionPac ad dropping in Michigan. We have to suffer here at home, so Israel can get all its wars. That’s why they buy politicians like Mike Rogers. He promised to serve Israel “unconditionally,” but never made that promise to you.

"When a new cause bubbles up, the potential activist asks himself what’s in it for him. Consciously or not, he works out a few things: Will this make me look good? Will I be more accepted by others? Will my conscience be soothed? Will it raise my status or increase my power? And, maybe most important, will it be cost-free or even fun?"--From today's newsletter

LISTEN: Contributing editor @EliLake joins us today to correct the record on Jon Lovett’s comments on Michigan Jews and Abdul El-Sayed, and discuss the larger implications of centering Israel in US politics and the different flavors of antisemitism on the left and right as both parties struggle with their own cohorts in the approach to the midterms. Is there any cause for optimism going forward, or do even darker days lie ahead? commentary.org/noam-blum/the…
