There is so much we can do, rehabilitation in ICU isn't just exercise It's a complex intervention that begins to address the dehumanisation of critical illness. It's about interaction, it's about finding out who your patient is, what's important to them & working on shared goals

As a critical illness survivor, I’d rather that message was “There’s so much you can do with early mobilisation in ICU, but listen to the patient’s physiology and subjective sense of fatigue“ It’s don’t overdo, not don’t try. Recovery is hard enough without further deterioration

Monitoring your employees to insure they don’t act unethically can paradoxically increase unethical behavior, at least when employees don’t believe they being treated fairly, because watched employees don’t feel agency over their own actions & so they become ethically disengaged.
