Hey @MTA any reason your press office has been treating student journalists like they're not real journalists? If your press team had time to send a condescending responses about how they don't deal with student journalists, surely, they could have just responded to the question.

Apparently, Instagram really *was* suggesting "Higher" by Creed at a much higher rate than intended. I looked into it for @CNN. (No it's not happening with Soulja Boy.) cnn.com/2026/10/08/entertain…

New renderings of the Flyers & Sixers arena caused a stir this week. Fans say the Flyers’ rendering missed one key detail: female fans. What ensued was a 'Where’s Waldo?' level of analysis from the internet. The Flyers have since updated the rendering: share.inquirer.com/xfWifR

I will never forget when Dolly Parton staged a women’s coup at the Newport Folk Fest in 2019. Here she was singing “9 to 5” with The Highwomen, Sheryl Crow, Yola, Amy Ray, Linda Perry, Lucy Dacus, Judy Collins and many others 💘

The American Federation of Musicians, the major labor union representing professional musicians in North America, is paying tribute to Dolly Parton, who was a member of its Nashville Local 257 for 58 years. AFM says that for decades, Dolly consistently filed union contracts for her recording sessions, live gigs and tours. That meant the musicians working for her were not simply being handed a check as hired players…their work was formally covered under union agreements that can require negotiated minimum pay, pension contributions, benefits and other workplace protections. The union says Dolly “set the gold standard” for supporting the musicians behind her and “elevated our entire profession.”

We'll never see another Dolly Parton: unanimously beloved by teens & geriatrics, country obsessives & twang atheists, rural evangelists & bohemian cynics. Blessed w/ the emotional depth, charm & songwriting gift to induce tears, laughs & joy. The last American we could agree on.
