Quite frankly I think it’s idiotic to suggest that Kamala Harris shouldn’t run again just because she lost to Donald Trump in 2024. And I have yet to hear a good response to why she shouldn’t run.
That election was not a referendum on her ability to lead but a reflection of the ignorance and disinformation that flooded the electorate. When we talk about that election we cannot leave out the facts.
Over 75m ppl voted for Kamala Harris and she did that in 107 days. Kamala Harris is the second most voted for democratic nominee in US history. We did not go anywhere we are clearly still here and the tide has shifted. This next presidential election will be the opportunity.

To all my beloved state parties: START RECRUITING NOW!
And if you needed a recruiting pitch, last night was the best recruitment event you could ever wish for!
Fill those dance cards! Every statehouse seat. Every statewide office. Every congressional district. Don’t leave a single seat uncontested!
And to our national committees: Start identifying, cultivating, and training our 2028 and 2030 candidates NOW. Introduce them to donors early. Give them time to build relationships, raise money, assemble teams, and develop the robust ground operations needed to compete.
Candidate recruitment isn’t something you do six months before an election. It’s how you prepare to win one.
I’ve been preaching this since 2025, and I’ll keep preaching it:

On Election Day, the American people spoke loud and clear: they are done with the corruption, incompetence, and callousness coming from the White House and the capitulation of Republican leaders. As I traveled the country to campaign for Democrats up and down the ballot, I witnessed the resolve of the people to turn pain into purpose, and anger into action.
I congratulate all the great candidates who ran fantastic races and the thousands of volunteers who made calls, knocked on doors, and ensured Democrats won resoundingly.
Now, the work begins to actually deliver results. The American people have elected Democrats across the country in federal, state, and local races who must be ruthless in using every lever of power to deliver economic relief for working families and hold this administration accountable for their deep-seated corruption.
The people demand nothing less.
