Our @EnvAMRflows team including @kreftj @Shashid22680295 @drjoshlarsen @WvSchaik @DWGrahamAMR @RupertHough @o_aravind @snkuiry @Balaji_IITM @indu_iitmadras @vmishraiit will study the Musi river near Hyderabad and the Adyar river near Chennai.
Our experts are joining Indian counterparts to investigate the impact that releasing antibiotics from antibiotic manufacturing into India’s waterways has on the spread of potentially fatal drug-resistant infections @UOB_India @LES_UniBham @envamrflows

@AnnaTurns did a much better job explaining the issues around antimicrobial resistance than I ever could! Great work 🙂
Fantastic article on AMR in our rivers and wider environment. Worth a read...with helpful quotes by @PenkovaElitsa ! "Why antimicrobial resistance could be lurking in a waterway near you" bbc.com/future/article/20240…
