In 2023, Dennise began training in our lab. Since then, she's interned at the FDA, completed an @NSF REU in Sweden, led our @SACNAS chapter, won a top national @AHAScience scholarship and presented @ABRCMS @theAGU. Early mentorship+funding = powerful science+stronger workforce.

PR Disaster Declaration Approved by FEMA. Last Thursday, the U.S. President signed a Major Disaster Declaration for Puerto Rico following the hit of Storm Ernesto this past August. The declaration covers 26 municipalities, 1/3 of the island.#DisasterRelief #TropicalStormErnesto
