A kid who’s thinking deeply is rarely 1st to answer. Make sure we don’t miss those kids’ gems b/c an ans has already been given. #MTchat

Back to A1 Surprising (even deep) Qs come even in Kindergarten ltd.edc.org/story-from-kinde… requiring thought/time to answer #MTchat

A3 And thinking abt mathematical extension is very much ON topic, even though this particular example of extension is way out there! #MTchat

A3 Taking a detour to pursue a good Q is different from being derailed. The kids are doing great math, applying what they know. #MTchat

A2 Common practice in math community: Jordi’s theorem; Ben’s conjecture; Sam’s question… #MTchat

A2 If I set a question aside, I try to record it somehow. It may remain an open question, or may become useful later. Chart on wall? #MTchat

A1 Did defer this while collecting thoughts. Need to find an approach that's both correct and accessible. #MTchat
