I asked Opus 5.5 to revive an old Reisen MMD project in Blender and make it about the end of coding by hand. I will miss you so much!

oh man… I don’t like the sound of this
Dario Amodei: some tokens Claude produces are worth a few cents, others could be worth tens of millions of dollars.
His examples:
1. Telling someone to restart their Mac: the model has said it 10 million times, worth a dollar or less
2. Telling a pharma company to move an aromatic ring to the other end of a molecule: potentially tens of millions
3. Expect pay-for-results pricing, or labor-like pricing by the hour
4. It's a new industry, so many models will be tried
Today pricing is simpler: per the S-1, usage-based pricing was 80% of H1 2026 revenue and subscriptions 20%.

are your omp session logs hogging space on your machine? i got sick of constantly offloading mine, so i built native session log compression into omp
`omp gc --compress` uses the compression already built into your disk (mac + windows). 100% lossless
my omp sessions folder went from 20.3 GB to 5.8 GB, and every session still works like nothing happened
run it, or tell your agent to: `omp gc --compress --apply`

bloomberg's moat != the client
it's some combo of data, licensing, institutional connections, and network effects
crypto is interesting because a lot of these barriers are lower or non-existent. market data is accessible, exchanges have APIs, onchain data is public (licensing/relationships seem to matter less)
meanwhile liquidity is fragmented across dozens of CEXs/DEXs, everyone juggling 15 different interfaces, platforms, execution tools, etc.
so hypothetically why not just aggregate all of it? unified terminal, cross-exchange trading, consolidated data, advanced execution, etc all in one place.
wouldn't that be a great product?
oh wait:

proprietary + licensed data, decades of historical financial data, real-time feeds, institutional integrations, and network effects. especially bloomberg chat... everyone who is anyone already uses it to communicate and transact. reverse engineering the client doesn't give you the existing user network that make bloomberg valuable
my daughter saw how expensive anthropic subs had become and quietly put her Max 20x back.
“i can just be an opencode person this year, daddy. that’s free.”
she’s five. FIVE.
this november, i’m voting for a country where our children don’t have to budget their tokens💙

I'm not sure a lot of people understand what game coders actually do. We're not spending 9 hours a day finely hand crafting artisan software and expressing our inner dreams... 90% of the time we are fighting compilers and existing architecture, having to work out how undocumented code works, and tracking down obscure bugs and behavioural issues.
Most of game programming is just difficult, tedious, laborious grunt work, and the cognitive load we have to endure to get anything done is tiring and frustrating. No game coder is doing it for this 90% of the job.
We make games because the 10% that IS actually about making things fun and expressing ourselves is so incredibly rewarding it makes the other 90% bearable.
Now imagine if there was a tool, some kind of AI agent maybe, which could do most of the 90% grunt work for you, leaving you to just make all the decisions and express your creativity. How amazing would that be. How completely revolutionary would that be.
