This is why I purchased a Foundation Series CT. It has powered our home through Hurricane Milton and numerous power outages. That piece of mind is so valuable, especially when you have the number of animals we have and require power for running water.

9 Powerwalls worth of energy storage for the cost of 5, and you get a free self-driving truck with it!
@cybertruck is the deal of the century.

I want this too! we’re going to do an “immersive” view for Powerwall in a few weeks, it’s not the main release so we could finish up some final polish but coming quickly after

Tonight, after 3 Days and 4+ hours I become the first one to connect back to the grid….but not because of the reasons you’re thinking.
I will be willingly connecting back to the grid with over 80% battery still available on my Powerwalls.
Reason for connecting back to the grid: We need to charge our 3 Tesla’s during off-peak hours at the full charge rate. Being off grid for extended periods of time does not give us the charging freedom we are used to especially when it comes to charge rate.
This weekend 5 @Tesla enthusiasts embarked on a competition to put their Tesla Home energy systems to the test and see how long they could go without the grid. They organized and launched this completely on their own.
Their goal is to see how long they can go without compromising on their usual energy usage and behaviors. The systems range from smaller to bigger, include @teslaenergy Powerwall, Powershare from their vehicles, and solar. They’re located in: California, Idaho, Canada, Illinois, and Texas and these adventurers have already passed 41 hours.
Follow along and see how these Tesla Home energy systems perform in the real world.

I believe we are the first group to truly test Powershare with Powerwall for extended off-grid time.
While only one of us has used the feature so far, I’m learning it’s something I never want to be without.
Energy independence is real. This off-grid competition will continue to show how even a small system can help anyone achieve it, especially with a Powershare-capable vehicle (3, Y, CT).

Powershare with Powerwall is a relatively new feature facing a real test. It’ll be fun to test this.
I’m confident it will show any system size can effectively protect a home’s energy in a worst-case scenario, especially with a Powershare-capable vehicle (3, Y, CT). With all of us having different system sizes, energy uses, and goals, each use case will be interesting to watch.

It’s going to be fun. I think my smaller system can hold its own.
@ericdmann built a pretty cool little leaderboard that you can track it live from too!

Tomorrow, my home goes off-grid too.
We’ll run on whatever the sun gives us, then the Cybertruck takes over when the Powerwalls get low.
My setup:
☀️ 8.4kW solar array
🔋 1 PW 3 + 1 PW 3 Expansion
📐 Cybertruck with Powershare
I have the smallest array of the three, but let’s see how long we can last even while charging my wife’s car.
@JoshuaThePilot @ericdmann
Almost time to put Powershare on display.

Tomorrow at 2:30 PM PT, we pull the plug on the grid. No end date.
Just the sun, @Tesla Powerwall + Powershare, and stubbornness to see how long we can last. ☀️🔋
We built a live leaderboard, so you can watch every minute of it.

I live next to a Tesla Sales center. When I drive by the lot is usually filled with Ys and 3s. Recently I’ve noticed there is nothing. If you need a sign, this might be it. $TSLA demand is real!

I've built an entirely custom home energy automation platform, controlling and answering questions about entire energy setup, @teslaenergy powerwall reserve, Model Y charging, smart breakers, wifi-connected plugs, and more.
I also added @bot assistant right to the screen, so family members can walk up to the wall-mounted iPad and just ask Grok to do whatever they need. Change load-shed thresholds for certain loads, turn up powerwall reserve, etc.
It even can talk to the other Grok @bot to turn on the sprinklers, run the @matic, etc.
