If you fly to @EFDevcon in Mumbai next week, do this before you go 👇
> Separate small hot wallet for the trip
> Main wallet stays home
> Revoke old approvals (use @RevokeCash from @RoscoKalis)
> Skip public Wi-Fi, use your hotspot
> Ignore QR codes on posters
> "Support" DMs are always scams
> Never share your seed phrase
> Check the URL before you connect
> Update phone, laptop, browser, wallet
> Lock screen on, Bluetooth off
Save this for the flight
Too many hacks in the last 24h. If you do one thing today, do this 👇
> Update everything: browsers, OS, phones, desktop apps
> Limit web browsing this week, don't click random links
> Avoid untrusted Wi-Fi, use your hotspot
> Watch out for phishing emails
> iPhone 11-16? Turn Bluetooth off until Apple patches land
> Devs: update all your repos
S/O to @Eito_Miyamura for this practical checklist
Stay safe everyone

Something's clearly in the air.
I've gotten more inbound from founders looking for X ghostwriting in the last 30 days than I have in the preceding 10 months.
But I don't think done-for-you X ghostwriting works anymore. If you're looking for help on X, here's what to do instead:
First, you have to understand what you really want.
I hear this all the time: "I'm looking for someone to get me from 1k to 10k followers." Unfortunately:
1. Follower count doesn't matter anymore.
Look at my account. ~97k, but my posts have extreme variance. Most posts have dozens of likes, then occasionally I hit a banger.
2. The algo is hit-driven now
Done-for-you ghostwriting assumes consistency is the primary blocker to growth. But you can't just post consistently and get impressions growth anymore.
It's necessary but not sufficient. You need to post bangers. Which leads me to:
3. Bangers are either timeless or timely
The way done-for-you ghostwriting works is:
- I interview you for 30-60 mins
- I extract good ideas and post them for you
This approach is guaranteed not to be timely, and (most of the time) not guaranteed to be timeless either.
Even timeless posts have to be in dialogue with the discourse currently on X. Randomly posting into the void doesn't work.
So what actually works?
For posting: internal transformation via coaching.
Meaning: getting out of your own way so you can post on X in your natural voice.
I've worked with dozens of ghostwriting clients in the past. And in past iterations of the algorithm, I've had great success. I don't do it anymore.
I do know the pattern across clients is inevitably one thing: fear.
People who "need help with X" actually just need help getting over their posting fears:
- my thoughts aren't any good
- what if I piss people off
- it's so cringe
- etc.
That's why clients look for done-for-you ghostwriting. It helps them avoid all these negative feelings.
But here's my analogy: posting is like eating broccoli.
No one can force you to do it if you hate doing it.
A ghostwriter can transform it for you--mash up the broccoli, roast it, cover it in cheese--but if you hate eating broccoli, you will fail at eating broccoli.
If you hate the idea of posting on X, you will fail at posting on X. Simple as.
The simplest way to enjoy posting on X?
Use X as a social network.
Not as a newsletter, not as one-to-many broadcast system, not as a product marketing channel.
But literally as a social network. Use X to interact with ideas you like, people you like, companies you like.
"Authentically." By which I mean, without thinking about it.
Seeing X as a solvable objective is paradoxically self-defeating. Just like having friends.
If you treat every friend you make as a means to an end: "This person will invite me to the Hamptons. That person will advance my career."
You will have shallow friendships.
But if you enjoy your friendships as they are, for what they are, with no further judgment or motive, then you will have fun. And ironically you will make more and better friendships.
X is the same way. If you enjoy using it, it will bear fruit for you. Now go forth and post.

“I personally love their approach to a single mainnet. One pool of liquidity.”
@Mcdtv on why Corda's coming to @solana: the tech, internet capital markets as a shared North Star, and long-term alignment.
Todd McDonald, co-founder of @inside_r3, on the three reasons they chose Solana for the next version of Corda
“One is the technology. I personally love their approach to a single mainnet and scaling through a single mainnet. One pool of liquidity. Two is their strategy. Internet Capital Markets, that’s the north star. They’re focused on helping existing capital markets players understand, launch and be successful on Solana.”
“Three, the culture of the ecosystem. Both those building on it and the Solana Foundation. They’re viewing this as a long-term business they want to grow. What you really need in this space is long-term alignment with the partners you choose. That was the big thing for us.”

+1 to everything here
also if you’re a woman and hesitant or nervous about your trip to devcon, feel free to dm me! mumbai is my hometown and my favorite city in india, happy to share tips or be a friendly face when you’re here
im very sad that I won't be able to travel to devcon this year. i was looking forward to go to india and show my crypto friends around.
but, if you are considering going to devcon but are hesitant to go because it's in India, i ask you to have a little bit of open mind.
it's an overstimulating country for first 2 days, and you would think everyone is there to get you or steal from you. but that's not true at all. there are bad parts in every country -- remember Bogota? or Brussels?
if you have some local crypto friends, they will be a great guide. i will personally help you in anything needed.
but the point is that devcon needs more ethereum people aligned. EF needs more ethereum people aligned. this hasn't been the best year for EF, but im still an eth community member. i love devcon and india. i think it's going to be great.
some tips:
- food is great. if your white/euro genes cant take the spice, go to nicer restaurants
- use Uber Black everywhere
- Mumbai is LA of India. women do walk alone during night, but if you're concerned, then always have +1 in ubers.
- a lot of people can understand english and speak broken english so you should be fine.
- you do need cash or any of travel card with 0% transaction fee. amex platinum works great or similar visa/master cards.
- you need cash because you won't get UPI as non-indian and it's not worth the hassle.
- dont get scammed into paying 3x more at streets for anything. always have an indian bro lmeow
- on similar note, mostly tuk-tuk people will charge you 3x or souvenir places on the street
- try indian sweets and desserts. you will love them.
- try street food for the love of god
- if you're a founder or working at bigger orgs, you will be surrounded by a lot of folks for job opportunities or funding, try to be patient with them or ask for space. they are still learning.
overall, india has some of the best talents in crypto: from building products to marketing, some of them are exceptional and those 1% people are the ones you wanna connect to.
