🚨🚨🚨 $XRP AND stellar:native ARE ALREADY CONNECTED TO MASTERCARD’S STABLECOIN PUSH AND THE PAYMENT PIPELINE AROUND THEM IS ALREADY MEASURED IN BILLIONS. I keep thinking about Mastercard’s example at Money20/20. A coffee shop in Boston buys beans from a supplier in Latin America. The buyer just wants to pay. The supplier just wants usable money. Behind that simple transaction, somebody has to handle identity, fraud checks, FX conversion, stablecoin settlement, liquidity and local payout. Mastercard is now building more of that stack. Its new Stablecoin Security product brings transaction intelligence, blockchain data, fraud monitoring and compliance checks into financial institutions through an API. Borderless xyz and Keyrails are the first partners, with broader rollout planned through BVNK in 2027. And $XRP is already directly connected to Mastercard’s settlement plans. Mastercard, Ripple, WebBank and Gemini announced work around settling Gemini Credit Card activity using RLUSD on the XRP Ledger. Then Mastercard expanded its settlement infrastructure again in June 2026 and explicitly named both RLUSD and XRPL, alongside CBW Bank, Cross River, Lead Bank, Nuvei and ARQ. Now look at Latin America. Ripple and Bitso are building around RLUSD and the Mexican-peso stablecoin MXNB on XRPL. XRPL can route between issued currencies, and XRP can sit in the middle through auto-bridging when XRP liquidity offers the better path. Bitso already uses Ripple Payments, XRP and RLUSD in its cross-border infrastructure. That is real XRP utility tied to international money movement. The regional demand is already there too. Ripple surveyed 160 financial decision-makers in Mexico and Brazil: 69% were using or planning stablecoin payments within two years. 65% expected stablecoins to become the default for cross-border payments. 65% preferred partnering instead of building everything themselves. 61% preferred one infrastructure provider. 38% cited 24/7 settlement as a reason to adopt digital assets. Now stellar:native. Mastercard and the Stellar Development Foundation have worked together since 2024 through Mastercard Crypto Credential. That relationship brought in Coins ph, Mercado Bitcoin and Wirex, combining verified payment identities with Stellar settlement infrastructure. Then Mastercard bought BVNK. A few weeks later BVNK made Stellar live across its enterprise stablecoin platform in 130+ markets. BVNK was running around $39B in annualized payment volume, while Stellar itself processed $55.6B in payment volume during 2025. Typical Stellar settlement: roughly 5 seconds. Then Mastercard and BVNK launched the Global Money Platform. -Fiat accounts. -Stablecoin accounts. -FX conversion. -International payments. -Treasury management. Initial names included Nuvei, Marqeta, Ontop, Bolt Group and Almond FinTech. Mastercard’s wider network reaches 17B+ payment endpoints across 200+ countries and territories, with 40+ currencies targeted in the platform by 2027. And Stellar has another route through MoneyGram, where the network, Circle’s USDC and Crossmint already support stablecoin balances and real-world payout infrastructure in markets including Colombia, with El Salvador expansion announced. Then comes AI. Mastercard’s Agent Pay for Machines named Ripple alongside Coinbase, Stripe, BVNK and Cloudflare. RippleX’s Markus Infanger specifically connected XRPL and RLUSD to automated enterprise payments. Stellar has its own machine-payment route through x402, Soroban and USDC, with SDF involved in the x402 Foundation. I see the long-term XRP opportunity in liquidity. More stablecoin corridors mean more currency conversion. More conversion means more demand for market-making inventory. XRP can become working liquidity between digital currencies. For XLM? the opportunity is broader distribution. -More payment accounts. -More settlement. -More liquidity pools. -More XLM held for reserves and network operations. A standard Stellar account currently requires 1 XLM in base reserves. Mastercard is connecting trust, compliance, global distribution, stablecoins and automated commerce. Ripple and Stellar are already inside that picture. $XRP can become part of the liquidity moving money between currencies. stellar:native can become part of the rails carrying those payments around the world. And most people using these systems may never even know a blockchain was underneath the payment. That is the scale I’m looking at.

Stablecoins can play an important role in expanding certain utility across the Pi ecosystem, particularly in use cases where predictable price stability is important. The introduction of stablecoins requires a deliberate, unique approach, and must be aligned with Pi Network’s ecosystem and principles. - Simply adding a stablecoin does not guarantee that it will naturally complement Pi. - How the two function alongside each other depends on how stablecoins are integrated into the Pi ecosystem. This makes the design and initial introduction especially important. Stablecoin functionality should be directed toward circumstances where price stability is needed while preserving the utility of the Pi cryptocurrency across the broader ecosystem.
