Both of these stopped me in my tracks yesterday (the day before?). Beautiful. On a semi-related note, in the 90sโ€™ish my communications โ€“ pre-www โ€“ used: The Office of Mr Murphy. I left out the word โ€˜designโ€™, because it was too limiting. Also, echoes of the Eames partnership.

Iโ€™d love to try this. Context: Iโ€™ve written six books; I read a great deal; and this looks like an incredibly useful tool. Great work.

It beggars belief that these vexatious fsckwits can run what is a clearly coordinated campaign from outside Scotland (or the UK, for that matter). Is there no limitation on where IPSO complaints originate?

I worked for TGI Fridays, Glasgow welcoming guests. I learned a great deal about how a large multinational builds experiences at scale. I still remember being quizzed by my girlfriend (now wife) on the TGI Fridays exam, which required a 95%+ score to work on the floor.

With my partner-in-crime, @takete, we shepherded the students into the world at large. Showing them how long theyโ€™d have to make an impression, we opened each portfolio in a new tab. Then, in split seconds: โ€ข look, no, close tab; โ€ข look, no, close tab; โ€ข and so on. 2/2

Thanks for sharing this, itโ€™s a great list with lots of useful advice. I taught for two decades at Belfast School of Art, where I established the universityโ€™s Interaction Design degree (sadly renamed โ€˜Digital Designโ€™, after I moved to pastures new). 1/2

This equally applies to American foreign policy as it applies to Gaza (and the Occupied Palestinian Territories). โ€œCovering up errors and deceptions.โ€ Hits the nail on the head.

โ€œMost people donโ€™t write.โ€ Most people donโ€™t read either. A point Warren Buffet often highlights. That combination โ€“ voracious reading, absorbing ideas and habitual writing, clarifying thought โ€“ always signalled good students to me, when I taught at Belfast School of Art.

Thanks for posting this. I always enjoy your threads, theyโ€™re thought-provoking and interesting. You might enjoy @hiutdenimโ€™s story. A Welsh brand doing one thing well: making jeans. I just bought a second, selvedge, pair. They last forever and Hiut offer free repairs for life.
