"Retailers have a duty of care to their customers" and @WomensRightsNet are on the case!! 👀
📣 NEW CAMPAIGN! 📣
Introducing the Women’s Rights Network Red Flag Campaign: Retail
Millions of women and girls are being put at risk of sexual crimes in mixed-sex changing rooms. Our new Red Flag Campaign Retail focuses on the safety of women and girls in high street stores and supermarkets.
Mixed-sex changing rooms attract sexual predators looking for easy access to women and girls in a state of undress. Our research in Leisure Centres found that 86-100% of sexual crimes in leisure centre changing rooms occurred in mixed-sex facilities. (Our leisure centre research is published on our website.)
Now we are turning our attention to the dangers of high street changing rooms.
🚩🚩🚩 Women and girls are experiencing voyeurism, illicit photography, even sexual assault, because retailers have abandoned single-sex changing rooms in favour of ‘inclusive’ mixed-sex changing facilities.
Retailers have a duty of care to their customers and we say denying women the privacy, dignity and safety of a single-sex changing room is a dereliction of their duty to keep us safe on their premises. 1/3

It's well overdue, the talents there as i witnessed, it just needs to be exploited, much cheaper than jail.
Don't make it easy for gangsters to use for skivvying, taking up prison places that those at the top organisation should be occupying.
They fit terms for imprisonment.

Market tested a decade plus after i left, joined up with next door Cat C Acklington, became a large private sector operated adult establishment.
Leaving no long-term youth provision in the north.
Fair play to @JakeBenRichards for identifying the need for early intervention.

What's needed is a smaller better furbished prison estate for those where an immediate custodial sentence is the only outcome that fits the crime, secondly where the public MUST be protected long-term.

A better funded independent Probation Service, better funded community agencies offering social skills and into work support, to deal with the non violent unless they meet the 2 reasons noted above for immediate incarceration.

This to include early intervention for the young who are often looking for a lead and who we allow tp come under the influence of county drug lords currently whilst the authorities are appear content scratching their backsides.

Late intervention can work as i found at a long-term YOI, in '84. Full and part-time education in a specially constructed block. Vocational courses in construction, painting and decorating, motor mechanics, catering, gardening. Skills learned and lost-no pathway to work.

The answers are currently with an editor in Belfast. Hopefully published before Christmas, if not early in the new year.
You're right building more jails is not the answer i've watched that become a self fulfilling prophecy over 5 decades.
I’m sure many of us are aware of the IPP sentence. Introduced under former Home Secretary David Blunkett in the Criminal Justice Act 2003, designed to show that New Labour was “tough on crime.”

I hear so much talk about building more prisons from the same people who previously said “we can’t build ourselves out of a crisis” But: HMP Millsike cost £264M to construct, and has an operating contract of £300M

Here we see the @UKLabour lack of fairness for women and girls in sport.
Why?
And as for @LibDems stop sitting on the fence!
An amendment to the sporting events bill was defeated by Labour voting against it. @louie_french (and I as I suggested it in The Lords) Conservative shadow sports minister wanted int. events brought to this country to insist the female category is protected as the ioc does, & the uk Supreme Court ruling stipulates .. sadly Labour doesn’t seem to care if our girls get fair sport
