Brexit Britain is broken and broke. Sure, it might hobble along for a bit longer but if ever there was a “country” in terminal decline then this is it. So what are you going to do Scotland? Cling to the wreckage or start rebuilding from the ashes? #YouYesYet?
What George Osborne and David Cameron were saying in 2010, and what Labours Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury is saying now.

New headlines suggest Palantir is staying put in the NHS for a while longer. Here’s why that shouldn’t happen ❌ Invite your MP to an event that will expose the truth about the spy-tech firm 👇 actionnetwork.org/letters/ur…

Thankfully our Scottish Gov has not been so reckless with Scotland’s NHS.
🚨 Palantir entered the NHS for £1 during Covid. Then it became a £23.5mn contract. Then a £330mn contract. Now ministers admit it is so deeply embedded that removing it would be too disruptive. Whatever the original intention, this is textbook vendor lock-in: the customer becomes dependent upon the supplier, and dependency becomes the supplier’s greatest protection. The proposed two-year extension must therefore be treated as an emergency extraction period, not another comfortable renewal. During that time, the government must require: • complete data portability and open standards; • independent access to the system architecture; • transfer of knowledge and skills to the NHS; • a tested migration plan with firm deadlines; • government step-in rights; and • a procurement process that is not designed around Palantir’s existing product. Palantir must not be allowed to shape the problem, define the requirements and then win again because only Palantir can satisfy them. And calling the replacement “British” is meaningless unless Britain controls its intellectual property, technology and future development. A £1 foothold has become national dependency. That is not sovereignty and it is precisely why sovereignty is now necessary.

This quietly damning National Audit Office report on UK Government reform of a small part of England’s NHS has been ignored by media.👇 £200 million over annual budget. £600 million on redundant payments. Big delays. nao.org.uk/press-releases/dh…

Is there any other news outfit who have to announce apologies as much as the BBC do against nthe SNP ? Weird that init
BBC Scotland has been forced to issue yet another correction relating to the SNP after falsely claiming John Swinney had announced plans to take buses into public ownership. How many more 'mistakes' like this are to be allowed before an inquiry is held into the station?

👀 National Labour Party now threatening their own Sheffield Labour Party! They really are losing the plot. I hope Sheffield Labour stand with their residents rather than the Labour party machine that's arming a genocide.

On Oct 7th Michael Marra said North Sea oil & gas was "critical" to Scotland's industrial future and he'd made that clear to Andy Burnham. Has the branch manager given any response to Burnham's plan to outlaw new North Sea drilling? Has BBC Scotland or STV asked him?

So much for more decentralised powers!! This version of the British Labour Party are the biggest control freaks yet!!
Should be a far bigger story that Burnham's localism pitch is a complete sham when Labour's national executive get a veto over whether Sheffield council collapses or not.

New: I understand Sheffield Labour would have to make representations to the NEC on their proposal to continue the power sharing agreement with the Greens The NEC’s current position is the power sharing will end So if the NEC refused the proposal, that could still mean a split

People don't want "to hold water companies to account", they want them nationalised to stop a third of their bills being drained away on private profits as a reward for extreme incompetence!
The privatisation of water has failed our communities. Household bills are set to rise by more than 40%, after years of underinvestment while shareholders and executives have continued to benefit. I've long called for elected Mayors to have greater powers to hold water companies to account, influence their operations and ensure money raised through fines goes back into the communities affected by sewage pollution. Through our new regional water council, we'll keep pushing for Yorkshire Water to put people first, protect our rivers and deliver a greener, more affordable future for West Yorkshire. 💧 gov.uk/government/news/commu…
