John Belushi, Muddy Waters, Johnny Winter, and Dan Aykroyd backstage at The Bottom Line in New York City in March 1977. This legendary gathering took place during Muddy's historic run of shows supporting his Johnny Winter-produced comeback album Hard Again. I’m honored to have the endorsement of Adelanto Mayor Gabriel Reyes for my campaign for California Lieutenant Governor this Nov 3, 2026.
Mayor Reyes has made history as Adelanto’s youngest mayor, bringing energy, innovation, and a strong commitment to economic development, small businesses, and creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders.
I’m grateful for his trust and support as we continue building a campaign focused on affordability, accountability, and results for every corner of our state.

Small business owners, looking for capital but hitting a wall with traditional bank limits? California has a new way to help you get funded! 💼✨ We, at the California State Treasurer’s Office, just rolled out a brand-new program called the CalCAP Loan Participation Project (LPP), fueled by federal small business funding.
If you aren't familiar with "loan participation," here is how it works in plain English:
🤝 The Team-Up: When you apply for a loan at a participating local community bank, the state actually steps in and buys a piece of that loan. They become co-lenders with your bank.
📉 Lower Risk: By taking on a chunk of the loan themselves, the state slashes the bank's risk.
🚀 More "Yes" Responses: Because the bank isn't holding all the risk on its own, they can approve loans they might otherwise have to turn down, freeing up more cash for local businesses.
Whether you need a line of credit for everyday expenses, a term loan to expand, or a bridge loan to lock down a new property, this program is designed to bridge the gap—especially for businesses in underserved or rural communities.
Talk to your local community bank or minority depository institution today to see if they are partnering with the program!

The drivers, who organized with #Teamsters Local 705, went on strike last week against Amazon's unfair labor practices.
