Can GDF15 induce weight loss in obesity? It’s not just about eating less: age & diet matter! A mouse study shows GDF15 reduces weight & improves blood sugar, especially in older mice on a high-fat diet. Aging activates mechanisms beyond reduced food intake aginganddisease.org/EN/10.14…
Blocking IL-1 signaling to fight obesity-related inflammation isn't one-size-fits-all, it depends on diet! A mouse study shows IL-1RA improves fat cell function on a normal diet, but acts differently on a high-fat diet, revealing context-dependent effects.

Module 5 of the EASL MASLD Guidelines Academy took place on 17–18 September in Pamplona, Spain, bringing together 21 nurses, allied health professionals and hepatologists.
Through clinical cases, role-play and hands-on training, participants explored multidisciplinary, patient-centred MASLD care, from behavioural change and nutrition to patient phenotyping, non-invasive assessment and evidence-based treatment.
Thank you to all participants for their engagement and contributions to advancing multidisciplinary care in liver health!
