One of the biggest problems with memecoins right now is that we've removed almost every incentive for devs to actually build something longterm. When creator fees were the meta, we had devs spending weeks or months building communities, doing buybacks, marketing and trying to push their coins into the millions. Why? Because the bigger the coin became and the more volume it attracted, the more money they could earn from fees. Now the entire market is just launch, bundle, farm, dump and repeat. Of course the extractors would keep doing this with or without creator fees. Those people were never interested in building anything to begin with. But now we've also removed the ONE thing that gave legitimate devs a reason to keep working on their coins. Why spend 6 months building a community when you can launch 10 coins a day, extract money from traders and move on to the next one? We keep complaining that nobody wants to build the next runner, but we've made it more rewarding to launch and abandon coins than to actually build something.
