Just 2 days after Prof. Jason Arday's has been cleared yet again of commiting plagiarism, it's been announced that the white supremacist who instigated the witch hunt leading to his death, is being allowed by @UniofOxford to host a lecture at the same campus Lola Salem taught at.

A bastion of supremacy will do their thing 🤷🏾.
Oxford Reform UK has invited Nathan Cofnas, who launched a witch-hunt against Professor Jason Arday and wrote a blog post arguing that, in a meritocracy, Black people would largely be absent from prominent positions outside sports and entertainment, to “discuss DEI and its impact on higher education and academic freedom.”

NOBODY is connecting the dots on these Gen Z protests.
India. France. Spain. Chile.
Different signs. Same problem.
Young people can't get hired.
Can't afford rent.
Can't afford a house.
Can't see a future.
At the same time, AI is quietly deleting the jobs they were supposed to start with.
Entry-level hiring has COLLAPSED since 2024.
You can't tell a generation to "work hard" when the first rung of the ladder is gone.
The streets are the only place left.

Realising that she and her mixed race children are also on the removal list 🤷🏾
Maybe something here our political leaders can learn. It’s action that matters 🤷🏾
Mamdani: Thirty years from now, when our city is dancing to a beat we cannot imagine, or taking in art more creative than anything we’ve ever seen, it will be in no small part because the children of this city had the support and the public goods they needed to succeed. The parks in which they could play, the public transit they could ride to visit new worlds, and the universal childcare they could rely upon to learn, to grow, to become themselves. And while we may have some more gray hair then, we will know that progress was made, that greatness was made possible because of a program like this one. Because government provided its people with the foundation to succeed. And because, and I say this specifically to all of the providers and the advocates, because you were willing to believe once again that something different could happen.
Yep 👇🏿
A lot to unpack.
Jenrick, as a Tory watched as the PPE scandal and routine theft of British assets sold to mates happened. Billions of pounds.
Shop theft is a problem and never justifiable. But the kind of defunding, austerity, destruction of communities via managed decline, over decades leads to the woman we see on the video.
She is obviously malnourished, she literally looks like a thousand people we all see on towns across the country. Desperate, feral, uncaring and looking very poorly indeed. Living in communities who've been left behind.
Again, theft is wrong. But this clout chasing bastard "outing" people who are symptom of 40 years of Tory policy, is as we say in Cannock, "a cunt's trick".
When a country invests in its people, doesn't create managed decline creating feral, outside of the law micro communities, doesn't invest in schools, civics, inclusion, and allows the cancer of exploiting benefits to flourish, this is what we get.
A woman being hounded for clout when he should be hounding Michelle Mone in Monaco.
Fucking bastard.

She’s lost it 🫣
Irrespective of how she defines herself, the people she is trying to impress still see her as an invader 🤷🏾
You’ve called me racist this evening- albeit in a contorted way- but in doing so, you’ve lowered the tone of the debate with divisive and inflammatory language.
And absurdly, you’re suggesting that I’m being racist against myself.
It’s because of irresponsible language like yours that we in Reform need security.
The left can keep smearing us as racist for challenging the cosy consensus on mass migration but we will not be bullied into silence.

Always good to see leaders of small countries speak truth to power while being diplomatic.
Michael Manley was the first to stand up against Apartheid. He was early but he wasn’t wrong and history has recognised Jamaica for that.

Immigration officers and police came to her flat at dawn to deport her. Her five-year-old son was in the room.
They restrained her with a body belt and wrapped thirteen feet of adhesive tape around her head.
Joy Gardner. London, July 1993. She was 40.
She went into cardiac arrest during the restraint and never regained consciousness. She died four days later. Three officers were charged with manslaughter. All three were acquitted in 1995.
Thirteen feet of tape. Somebody unrolled it, in a home, around a woman's head, with a child watching.
Britain quietly changed its deportation restraint practices afterward — which is the same admission every country makes, in the same silent way: by fixing the thing it insists was never broken.
Joy Gardner’s story is one of the cases documented in our book. Some cases made headlines. Many were buried.

While most other journalists ran with the Arday story as their summer sport, we've been looking at Cambridge for years, and @Hardeep_Matharu's investigation into the impact of Arday's death on his students and fellow academics is fearless and also heartbreaking. Genuine reporting
The story of Jason Arday is the story of James Orr
Of the ideology that has found a foothold in institutions like Cambridge, fostering the sorts of ideas that formed the undercurrents against Arday

Very sad news that the wonderful Bonnie Greer, playwright and novelist has died aged 77. I interviewed her a couple of times and watched her on BBC QT. She was a smart, sassy, firebrand who will be missed from our public discourse RIP 🙏🏽
“Lewis Hamilton needs to be penalised, otherwise it sets a bad precedent.”
The precedent is already there: Oscar Piastri drove his crashed car back to the pit under a red flag in Canada 2025. Charles Leclerc drove his heavily damaged car back toward the pit in Miami 2025 and only stopped when Ferrari told him to. Neither got the kind of penalty people are suddenly demanding for Lewis Hamilton.
Interesting how precedent only becomes important when it involves only one certain driver.

The press pursue a Black man to the end of his life and Parliament says nothing about their conduct.
Today, I raised the sustained harassment and intrusion Prof Jason Arday was subjected to in the days before his death and asked why Parliament is yet to see a statement on this.
