Sam Altman owning kidneys is wasteful. Think of all the people out there in need of kidney transplants, and he's just sitting there with 2 of them in his own body.

Reminder that Sam Altman is not just happy that most regular people cannot afford RAM anymore,
He is gloating about it and want even less regular people to have access to RAM.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says it’s “quite terrible” that people have so much DRAM sitting in their own PCs instead of being used in data centers.
“Everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer. And be used 5% of the time,”
He argues that cloud data centers should make better use of limited memory supplies instead of people running AI models locally.

Realme mid-range devices had a much better-looking Control Centre in Realme UI 7, with a transparent, Liquid Glass-like design...
But after updating to ColorOS 17, the Control Centre looks like a downgrade. The aesthetics have taken a hit...
Honestly, the older Realme UI 7 design was much better...
Why change something that was already good...?
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman believes people owning RAM is wasteful, and that it belongs in data centers instead.
"From a global allocation perspective, actually, it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer."

The OPPO Find X9 Ultra feels so good to hold in the hand. I like that it's narrower.
Comparatively the OPPO Find X10 Pro Max is pretty good but a bit wider.

Consider that a machine capable of running something like DeepSeek 4.1 Flash 1017 would cost anywhere from $4,000 to $12,000.
In total, I spend about $100/month on DeepSeek. It would, at even the $4k price point, take 40 months jus to break even. And I'm not eating the depreciation on a five-digit configuration that whole time.
Then there's the speed. A local setup I could build for running DeepSeek just isn't as fast. I'm likely to have to over-compromise on quantization to get a usable context window. Quality drops. Speed drops.
It's just not worth it financially (yet). And the first attempt at running multiple parallel subagents on a task will blow out my memory budget anyway.
That's the most complete answer I can provide in this text box. Local is ideal. I run MANY work flows locally on smaller models for things like processing news and basic house chores. But, when it comes to working on any of code bases? I'm in the cloud.
This can and probably will change. The models continue to get more efficient. The financials will eventually flip. For today, though, the economics simply dictate that cloud inference is the better choice.

The reason people prefer frontier AI subscriptions over open source AI models is that to run a frontier-level open source AI model locally, you need at least $10,000 of hardware. Even then, you won't get the best in the world, and that hardware becomes obsolete in the next 3 years.
Whereas you pay just $20 per month, which costs around $720 over the next 3 years. So you guys still save over $9,000.
