This year, we have an especially busy downrig season as both masts are being pulled for a comprehensive inspection. We do as much preventative maintenance as possible, to prevent potentially bigger maintenance projects down the line. Stay tuned for more updates!

There are few sights that say Nova Scotia quite like the Peggy's Point Lighthouse. Seeing it from the deck of Bluenose II is always surreal.
The original Bluenose sailed these same waters over a century ago, and carrying that legacy forward today feels incredibly special

On June 16, 2025, Brent Delaney was driving to work in Alton when he saw his neighbour Ron Miller’s home on fire.
Faced with that burning building, knowing that someone was inside, he pulled over and went in to try to help. When he saw danger, he did not hesitate to act. Sadly, neither Mr. Delaney nor Mr. Miller made it out.
In true Bluenoser spirit, Brent’s first instinct was to help his neighbour. It was an act of extraordinary courage and selflessness.
Mr. Delaney’s heroism has been recognized posthumously by the Carnegie Hero Fund, which this week awarded him the Carnegie Medal for Heroism. It is a well-deserved tribute to a man who, in the face of incredible danger, acted without hesitation to help a neighbour.
I’m grateful to see his heroism recognized, while saddened by his family’s loss.

Great fun to fly with the @CFSnowbirds!
Their last planned show in the Tutor @CIASToronto, all this long weekend. Don't miss it!
We should commit to a suitable follow-on @RCAF_ARC aerobatic display team soon, and keep flying Tutors until then. Nationally inspiring.

1/4 - I once stood on a bridge, radar showing a warship 4 miles off my port bow, and had to decide whether to alter course or hold my line.
No one back home knew.
My wife didn’t know.
My company’s ops manager, sitting at his desk, found out two days later in an email, with the subject line “FYI.”
