Lovely to be visited by @LBRUTMayor @juliacambridge1 and Transport Lead @AlexanderEhmann at the fair, where we worked with @RichmondStreets to get the walking, cycling, wheeling message out!
It was a joy to attend the @stmargaretsfair today. What a fantastic event - and it was an honour to help judge the dog show! Thank you so much to everyone involved.

When this scheme in Orford Road #WFMiniHolland 1st opened, folks marched a coffin here predicting death of trade on this street. Several businesses here said losing parking out front would end them. That was 8 years ago. This was a mild March Sunday. Change is hard but worth it. – at Walthamstow, London

Never underestimate the added value of removing just 1.5 car parking spaces to add one parklet. Great for business, great for the community, great for aesthetics, great for conversation. We need more @hackneycouncil #wiltonway

Bikes, E-bikes; and E-cargo bikes are the change we need.
Let's stop pissing around trying to make moving an 80kg human in a 1500kg motor efficient.
A simple, practical solution already exists.
The answer is bikes.
(and bikes + trains for longer journeys)
Obsessing over electric cars is slowing down the race to net zero, according to @UniofOxford's @_chris_brand_. Active travel can contribute to tackling the climate emergency must faster, and with wider benefits too.
