The GOP Congress specifically deserved the shellacking. The least productive Congress of my lifetime - almost never in session - and one that totally abandoned its constitutional rule to oversee and hold accountable the executive branch. Just a parliament of pundits and tweeters.

The GOP influencers who were also undisclosed DOD employees are now pushing… Pete Hegseth for 2028.
Republicans, I’m BEGGING you to do this.

Many Capitol Police and D.C. police officers felt like the 2024 election was a big “F-you” to them and everything they endured. May yesterday serve as a reminder that people did care, that their sacrifices were seen, and that the truth is known.

@thesleezyman keep in mind the tour is for profit now. I’m sure the investors want Rahm now to make more money
These rich people hate paying taxes @mcuban is one of the few that support good politics and good policy for people instead of just worrying about getting richer. @costplusdrugs
Mavs owner Miriam Adelson has spent $67M on the U.S. midterms, more than any owner in sports.
The Israeli-born billionaire spent $100M helping Trump return to the White House in 2024, and he joked last year she offered him $250M to run for a third term.

What if a federal agent walks into a polling place and demands the ballots?
Watch this civics video. States run elections. No federal agency can seize ballots without a lawful court-issued warrant. Even then, it would be extraordinary federal interference in how states run their elections.

"We are entering the last two years of the Trump era with the man who would be king not only a lame duck, but a desiccated and ever more reviled loser.
In retrospect, it was nearly inevitable that a president who tried to seize dictatorial power over the US government by frontally attacking the US government would not succeed." publicnotice.co/p/trump-dict…

here's the entirety of the seeming mental breakdown Haley Stevens just had on CNN. One of the most bizarre and incoherent political interviews I can recall. Note how she's completely unable to explain why she changed her mind from supporting Abdul El-Sayed last night to endorsing Mike Rogers today.

Again: I’d rather be us than them, but ignore all the noise. Nobody knows what’s going to happen on Tuesday.
5 days to bring it home. Vote.
Let’s go win this fucking thing.

The fact that the House Judiciary Dems just released a 53-page report in which 11 women spoke to Trump's ties to Epstein's sex-trafficking operation, 5 of them alleging Trump forced himself on them directly, and one citing a particularly brutal rape while she was a beauty pageant contestant, should be a more significant story.
The fact that Todd Blanche has refused to comply with the court order to release the Epstein files following Katie Phang's lawsuit, should be a more significant story.
The fact that the Epstein Estate ACTUALLY PAID a settlement to one of the women who alleged that Donald Trump raped her as a minor, and it was paid AFTER Epstein died, as told under oath by Epstein's longtime accountant, should be a more significant story.
The fact that Trump said he wasn't ever on Epstein's plane and then we found out he was, should be a more significant story.
The fact that we know senior officials gathered in the Situation Room to concoct and coordinate an Epstein coverup should be the most significant story of all.
And when you combine ALL these stories and add to it his hiring of Alex Acosta, the birthday card, Bondi, the movement of Maxwell to a more lenient facility, and then - especially - my pet peeve - simply Trump's panicked behavior on all things Epstein, you really see the degree of the problem we need to fix ...
Echo chambers, social media algorithms, dopamine addicts, and other susceptible citizens, have normalized something that shouldn't be normalizable (poetic license).
To put it simply, and I know it sounds like an understatement, but this election is about so much more than gas prices.

On the day a sitting president landed in Lubbock, Texas, for the first time in 34 years, people waited for hours in lines stretching for blocks in this reliably red city. But the crowd wasn't waiting for President Trump. They were waiting for Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico. nbcnews.com/politics/2026-el…
