Making developers & builders MEGA

I'm planning to be more intentional on X in 2026, so here's who I am and what I do: I'm Greg. - Running 4 companies with ~40 people, 0 outside investment - 1M+ transactions processed on Easytools, our creator stack - Bootstrapped a Polish AI education company to $8.2M - 20,000+ graduates from Samsung, Allegro, PwC, Orange - 50%+ course completion rate (industry average: 5-15%) Most of this happened in the last 3 years, and almost all of it came from ignoring the playbook everyone else copies. I grew up in a Polish apartment block. Built websites in Flash at 14 for Quake clans. Learned to code by retyping examples out of physical books because YouTube didn't exist yet. That whole arc, from retyping code in a Polish apartment as a kid to running 4 companies between Mallorca and Warsaw, is the lens I see everything through today. Here's what I'll be posting about: - Lessons from 200K customers across 18 yrs of selling online - Running 4 companies async with a small team + automations - What it actually takes to build a serious company without a single round of VC - How giving course authors the majority of profit became our biggest moat - Why education and tools belong in the same business, not separate ones - The founder traps that quietly kill bootstrapped companies before they scale Most founders I meet are quietly burning years building the wrong thing the wrong way. VC traps, cofounder traps and "best practices" that only work at scale you'll never reach. My goal for 2026 is to give you the unedited version of what actually works. Follow if you want the full playbook. I'll link every thread I write under this post. Let's go.

the first edition of mega.dev launched today. over the past few weeks, we've been working super hard on something we believe will help others understand generative ai: what it can do, what it can't, and how to use it to deliver solid engineering and high-quality products. my job here was to shape the curriculum, deliver the core content of the lessons, and work with the team on materials that make the most of their experience and perspective on ai. my personal dream here is not only to show the principles, mechanics, tooling, workflows, and way of thinking, but to do it in a way that helps people rediscover joy and feel satisfaction and purpose in their work. 2,900 ppl on board. today is the last chance to join us. it's time.

I found my MEGA pattern: The Worktree Gate. I must say MEGA.DEV seems a different course from whatever I had to this day. Maybe it is a future of the courses... Congrats the team of @megadevhq and @_overment ! I feels like something new, really.

#megadev design system 👀 Such an awesome job @matsugfx 👏
Our work is changing. As a designer, I've noticed that lately I watch more @theo and @kentcdodds on yt than design tutorials. It's hard to keep up with everything AI companies ship, but these guys made me realize one thing. It's about changing how you think, and thinking bigger. At first, I didn't understand what "think bigger" means. I was focused on my Figma kit and happy with AI editing variables or building simple components. All the AI slop apps made me think that was the limit. Then one day, working in Figma, I realized how much time I was wasting. Waiting for components to update after I changed one variable or deleted a mode. I was tired of waiting for new features/fixes. I wanted a tool that works the way I think about design systems instead of waiting for Figma to catch up. But I was sceptical. I'm a designer with zero backend knowledge. I thought I won't be able to do it. I built it anyway, following the tips I learned from these videos. Burning through a couple of Claude Max plans. That app became DS Manager. Two weeks after launch, it landed me a $12k client project and hundreds of users onboard. All of this came from changing my thinking watching Theo's or Kent's videos. By the way, these guys are launching the largest AI cohort course @megadevhq next week with @techgirl1908 @johnlindquist @_overment @greg_rog @joelhooks It will be huge. I already learned a lot from their yt videos and I'm excited to see what the course will bring. To celebrate the launch of the MEGA, I cooked a free MEGA-styled shadcn/ui design system. You can fork it, tweak it and install with the cli. Link below.

Education has changed forever. Obviously, when you can just talk to an agent and ask it any question you have, and it can answer you with all of the context of your project or anything else, you'll just go to the agent instead of buying a course. This is why my course sales have tanked this year. No, I'm not mad. It's fine. I'm just trying to figure out the best way I can still provide value to the world and take care of my family. I'm not writing this to make you feel bad about me. I'm just telling you that education is different. That leads to the question: Are we post-education now? Do you need to be educated, or can you just talk to the agent anytime you run into any problem? I think that we are not post-education. I think that there will always be things that humans want to and need to learn to get more satisfaction out of life, do more things that they want to do, and maximize their efficiency and productivity in creating value in the world. The trick is: what do you learn that's actually durable and valuable? That's a big question, and that's part of what I'm going to be teaching during my week of MEGA.dev. Education has changed in a hugely positive way. Education now has the ability to leverage agents to teach you in your context and on your level. Yes, learners have access to agents to help them, but the teachers have access to agents as well. What I'm seeing from the MEGA.dev team and all the things that they're doing is blowing my mind. You've got four instructors who really know their stuff and have knowledge in their brains that they need to get across to each one of the thousands of people who are already signed up to attend MEGA.dev. Each one of those people has a different context, different things that matter to them, and different levels of experience. This has always been a problem with instruction: finding a way for the material to be equally applicable regardless of people's level of expertise, and that is extremely difficult 💀. I used to do that with extra credit so that people who get through things faster than others will have something to do rather than twiddle their thumbs 😬 Now we have agents, and your agents have a deep understanding of you, your preferences, your projects, and the way that you have used agents in the past. When we're teaching you about how to improve your efficiency at using agents, we're going to use your agent to help us teach you how you can improve specifically. Yes, there will be videos from your instructors and written material, but there will also be material for your agent to take you through the story that the MEGA.dev team has created for you. It will give you challenges that are specific to the way that you work with agents today to get you leveled up. Everyone's experience going through MEGA.dev will be perfectly catered to them, and that's how MEGA.dev is different. If you're still not convinced, you should at least come to our kickoff on Monday to see what we have to show you. I've got something I'm excited to share, for sure. The doors close for this cohort that evening, so make sure to have your boss on speed dial. luma.com/hi8as7f2?tk=9Qz4wh Join Mega now: mega.dev/s/kent

I wrote down how we're building MEGA: a program unlike any we've done, 2,000+ developers in already. ↳ challenges as tools inside your own harness ↳ education rebuilt agent-first, from scratch ↳ a certificate you can fail to earn ↳ a story nobody will explain welcome to our kitchen 👨‍🍳 read here: brave.inc/post/how-we-build-… #megadev @_overment @joelhooks @megadevhq @theo @techgirl1908 @kentcdodds @johnlindquist

I built my radio engine (onair.aiatlas.work/#music) are mp3s public somewhere? I want to have @levelsio playlist 🥁 🙏
It worked Of course it worked! It never ever doesn't work right? I vibecoded my own Spotify that works with Amazon Alexa and plays all my own MP3 music files 😊 Claude Code calls it the 🎶 Jukebox I put some coffee jazz MP3s (that I purchased) in an R2 bucket, made an Alexa skill in the Alexa Developer Console with help from Claude Code and now it plays it if I ask "Alexa, coffee jazz" It wrote a package.json and index.js, then I saved and built it on the console. Then I had to manually add a Routine to Alexa so that "Alexa, coffee jazz" became "Alexa, ask the jukebox to play coffee jazz" It also has Bossa Nova and Lofi and I can just drop music in whenever I want and it auto plays it Spotify with Alexa was giving me really terrible recommendations of music and always the same and the only thing I used it for was this! So I guess I can cancel Spotify now too 🙏
