The advisory isn't out yet, but the OpenSSL 3.0.7 source archive is. Here's a rough diff. (There might be some artifacts, as the base comes from git.) gist.github.com/FiloSottile/… xitter.cf/iamamoose/status/15874…

An update on videos from EMF 2022: we're sorry these are taking a while - we had to change our recording setup at the last minute which caused some complications. Thanks to the considerable effort of our volunteers, the vast majority of talks were recorded and will be released.

Started my journey into technomancy after being inspired by @grimmware's Computational Alchemy talk at EMF Camp. What better way to start than by creating a sigil making tool for the TiDAL 2022.badge.emfcamp.org/proje…

Hey #emfcamp2022, come to my talk "Computational Alchemy" at 2:30 on Saturday. It's going to be confusing. #plan9 #9front #occultism

Please, please do not contact me personally about @emfcamp things. We have teams of people for this - use our public contact addresses. I am absolutely overwhelmed and you will get much faster responses from other people

It looks like 2021 will have another campGNDd in May. Alcohol and friends are a risky combination!

I wondered what the hex visible on-screen in Hackers actually was, so @marksteward transcribed it. See the "Disinfectant INIT" string? The "Da Vinci" virus is Mac Antivirus software paganlink.org/downloads/help…

I saw a post on LinkedIn that recommended adding an emoji at the beginning of your name because you could see who was using some sort of automation tool to send out connection requests. I can now confirm it works.

Personally went with the low-tech option of setting my trending location to Japan (I can't read japanese) - ymmv depending on linguistic skill 🙃

mozilla NEEDS to exist. firefox is the only browser not maintained by a company whose profits come from its OS and web services. //everyone else// has a conflict of interest

I found away to order the pencil with No-Rush delivery. Let's see if they give me £1 of promotional credit. Then Amazon will have paid me 68p for buying a pencil.

No Email, Update 2: learnjsthehardway.com/blog/0… Where I keep thinking about the problem and come up with the simplest solution possible. Thanks to @grimmware for helping me think through the problem this far. I'm really enjoying writing about my thought processes like this.

So! What about instead of no passwords, just highly reduced risk by doing: 1. username+bcrypt(pw)+bcrypt(email) in the db. 2. reset is: give username + email 3. I find username, test bcrypt(email), if valid send email reset 4. Toss email just given so it's not kept anywhere.

Budget @Twitch gaming sometimes means going above and beyond. Behold a 30fps 720p h264 capable video capture setup of an @Raspberry_Pi 2 running @RetroPieProject and an RPi 4 model b. Obviously it won't be a decent solution for most streamers but for PS1 spoopy gams 👻 it's 🔥
