A common question people asked within the @HamptonFounders community: "Does anyone have a agency they love that does X?" So little transparency and reviews for different agencies. Hard to know if someone's great until you use them, which may be a painful experience.

🚨 Special Announcement 🚨 I am very excited to finally share publicly, that @tiktok_us and Vendry are joining forces on a new program created specifically for our agency partners! When we began exploring the types of partnerships we wanted to form to provide our agency network with world-class opportunities to grow their businesses, TikTok was at the top of the list. Since the inception of Vendry, the demand for TikTok and TikTok Shop agencies has been our fastest-growing vertical πŸ“ˆ Brands are looking for new channels to unlock success and none are coming close to innovating at the speed of TikTok. As part of our collaborative efforts, we will be teaming up with TikTok to provide Vendry agencies with exclusive education, resources, and perks needed to offer brands the type of world-class service they have come to expect. And to kick things off, we put together a Swipe File of 50 of the top-performing TikTok ads to take inspiration from. If you'd like to receive it for free, like this post and comment "TikTok" and I'll DM you a link. Stay tuned for more exciting updates to come!

The whole agency vs in-house debate is tired. People acting like the decision to hire agencies, freelancers or FTE is binary. Leaders need to be able to assess their businesses needs, constraints and how they are positioned internally to utilize all the above. You can't scale without some combination of all three and anyone arguing for a hard-line one way or another is missing out big time.

The β€œagency vs in-house” debate is changing. And after reading this, I want to know your take on it. I was talking to a brand the other day who needed to improve their performance marketing immediately. Truth is, if they hired a Director of Marketing, they’d likely spend:

We're looking for an exceptional short form content/video agency to help us grow @chewonthisdtc But - finding an agency is not always easy, because there is a ton of πŸ—‘οΈ out there No disrespect to agency owners (I was one myself), but there are just A LOT of people who claim big stuff - but can’t fulfill on it. Which is why over the last 6 months, I've partnered with @growinggray and Vendry.io to help us with our agency searches, helping us to hire 5 different agencies for @my_obvi , @CoffeeOvrCardio , @MY_PAWRANGERS , and now @chewonthisdtc . Agency searching and vetting is almost a craft by itself by now - and just the amount of time that you need to spend on finding the perfect candidate is nuts. ... and therefore - I'd much rather let others handle a big chunk of the "due diligence" for me (without any costs on my end) So with that being said, if you're interested in participating in the search and joining us in growing @chewonthisdtc , visit vendry.io/proposal/chew. And If you want to save money (on hiring the wrong agency) and save time (on finding and vetting agencies) I’d definitely recommend you to talk to @growinggray from @vendry.io #proudpartner

The single biggest growth lever a company has is its business model. Most marketers assume it's advertising, budget, campaigns, etc. The reality is, most of these things have a moderate impact on growth, but can't fundamentally change your business.

The point is, there is no right answer. The decision to bring specific functions internally or outsource to an agency is incredibly contextual based on company resources, industry, expertise, etc. My company (Vendry.io) runs marketing agency searches for teams like this and the reality is it's an imperfect science. In some cases a Head of Marketing might be the better choice. Whether you go in-house or agency you need a solution that has deep expertise in the problem you are addressing, exposure to other businesses with similar constraints, and a repeatable process for implementing ideas. If you do go the agency route and want an outcome like @gokulr, this in an open offer to send you 3 matches to amazing high-performing agency partners based on your teams industry, channel-need and other decision criteria. PS: Our service is free - we only make money off our agency partners if you hire them are are happy!

As a Head of Growth, I hated running agency searches. They were time-consuming, difficult to navigate, and challenging to vet. Now I run agency searches every day for free for teams at Vendry.io, to solve that problem. So yeah, I agree.

Culture fit is a massively overlooked part of the client agency equation. Great orgs will put employees through culture interviews but only vet agencies based on logo walls. The way we all hire agencies is super backwards.

Never understood why it had to be one or the other. Why not performance marketing that serves the brand? Invest in strong brand pillars, repeatable messaging and brand standards and use that as the sandbox for which to operate your performance marketing.

Conversion matters, optimization doesn't. Test the big stuff: - bundles, discounts - product innovation - lead gen (email capture, quizzes) - entirely new landing pages (don't you dare A/B test button color)
