Lawyers are worried Tech Bros have too much control. The lawyers write the laws. Then they interpret the laws. Then they bill you to comply with the laws. Tech Bros are cheaper and easier to keep happy. Give us snacks and a fast laptop. I've never seen a happy lawyer. – at Oregon, USA

Capitalism works because talking to people is exhausting. Everyone does what THEY want, not what YOU want. Dale Carnegie, 1936. You can pay them. That's easy. Or you can spend a painful hour selling them on how virtuous they are for doing it. Every day. Forever. Communism picked the hour. That's why it fails.

Neither of us know the details. Facts we could know: * The parameters of Starshield are classified. SpaceX runs it at direction from the Pentagon. Treat it as a black box, infer from civilian tech. We do know it has more encryption and is harder to hack. It also has a different set of satellites. Independents say there are 300 SS satellites compared to the 10,000+ SL ones. The SS terminals can use the SL ones as a back bone though. * Starlink sells aviation terminals that work differently than your home dish. Because high speeds and maneuvering degrade the link. * Something moving over 100mph (nice round number in Imperial is a hint) is harder to maintain connection with. Multiple drones launched from the same area would make it harder. * Elsewhere I've disputed the "hack" with others. Near as I can tell that was a Russian sourced narrative, and makes no technical sense, as Starlink can generate position data to the 10s of meters from its own channels. GPS hack is BS. Plus sort of obvious when a drone is dropping and acquiring connections over its flight path. Plus there's tons of GPS jamming in a war zone. * A USA drone startup (SpektreWorks) used residential Starlink terminals in their drones (LUCAS Iran), and Starlink told the pentagon they would have to pay for aviation terminals. Because they move faster. The politician is abscribing ill intent to what may be a physics problem. Physics is going to win. Meta just got fined about $12,000 per New Mexican. The jury counted 43 million violations. New Mexico has about 2.1 million people. The state's law allows up to $5,000 a violation. The judge settled on $25 billion. Plus 15% interest until it's paid. The money goes to the state. It always does. The new trick is counting every user as a separate violation. Meta has its own trick. It only bans a scam ad if it's 95% sure. Below that, it charges the scammer more. Everybody's monetizing the victims.

Every illegal that votes mutes one citizen. Why do you hate actual citizens? – at Oregon, USA
This is NOT A DRILL: Donald Trump and Todd Blanche are trying to interfere in California elections. Trump’s DOJ has not provided any evidence for their claims of massive voter fraud. They’ve admitted that the data they point to is inaccurate and unreliable. No matter how many lawsuits they file or how many election officials they threaten, they do not have the authority to interfere. The Trump administration is afraid and desperate. Their attempts to take over our elections will fail. Election officials: We have your back. California: Your vote is your voice. Use it and let’s hold this administration accountable.

I've been going through the Democracy Files leaks @DataRepublican has been releasing, and whether or not any of this ultimately meets the legal bar for seditious conspiracy. The plan these organizers are discussing doesn't hold together unless you assume their "non-violence" language is masking their true intentions from public consumption. Their red line is the Insurrection Act as a potential triggering action, there may be others, but all of the potential triggering acts that have been hinted at are lawful actions. Nobody invokes the Insurrection Act over people walking down the street with signs. It doesn't happen. The Guard deployments in LA and Portland last year to counteract violent protestors weren't even the Insurrection Act. The only scenario where it actually gets invoked is one where there is sustained violence that local authorities can't or won't control. So if your entire plan is built around what happens after the Insurrection Act is invoked, you are building a plan around mass violence happening. You can say "non-violence" as many times as you want. The plan doesn't work without the violence. That's a wink and a nod tactic to cya legally. But understand the logic flow of what comes next. In the transcripts published by The Post Millennial and WECU, the talk is about governors becoming "the leading governing authority," about how to "wall off these illegitimate individuals," and about moving "into an extra-constitutional process." In other words, the federal response has been labeled illegitimate before anything has even happened. That's where this starts to matter legally. The seditious conspiracy statute covers conspiring to oppose by force the authority of the United States, or to prevent, hinder or delay by force the execution of any law. The Supreme Court said back in 1887 that if federal officers carrying out the law are forcibly opposed by people who conspired for that purpose, that is exactly what the statute was written for. If violence breaks out, and the federal government steps in to protect communities, and these same organizers then use ongoing violent protests to tell governors and the public that the federal government is no longer legitimate, that bleeds out of activism and into something far more serious. Advocating an idea isn't a crime necessarily and the courts have been clear about that. But there is a big difference between teaching an abstract idea and lining up the lawyers, the bail money and the governing plan for the day after. Maria Stephan, who co-leads the Horizons Project, the group that co-wrote the toolkit for these organizers, wrote in 2020 that calling the George Floyd protests violent riots "is simply untrue" and that the looting and vandalism were "a minute portion" of it, "largely committed by opportunists." Erica Chenoweth, whose 3.5% rule keeps coming up in these circles, co-wrote that claims the protests were overtaken by rioting "are false." Paul Zeitz wrote last year that troops had been "deployed against peaceful protestors" in LA. So they are obviously hiding behind legalese to cover their tracks while having a background of defining violent protests as non-violent. All of this tells you exactly how they'll describe the violence when it comes. “It isn't really violence, it's a tiny percentage, it's opportunists, and the real threat is the federal response.” They're being evasive and misleading, intentionally. The question now is what the full archive shows. If anyone on these calls is planning to physically resist federal law enforcement once it shows up, or keeps backing these movements after they've clearly turned violent, that's not politics anymore. And it’s worth repeating this last point. If the organizers of this say “peaceful protest” now, but advocate for advancing their plan to delegitimize the authority of the United States government after violent protests break out, they will be exposed to more obvious legal scrutiny.

Pretty sure this is BS. While Starlink terminals have built in GPS they can also determine position precisely (and have to so the downlink can aim). Aviation terminals have more transmitters so they can switch satellites more often.
So it turns out that Ukraine's issues with Starlink were caused by Ukraine. Starlink terminals disconnected at speeds above 160 KPH, as determined by the Starlink terminals internal GPS. To get around this, Ukraine hacked the Starlink terminals to think they were stationary regardless of speed. SpaceX figured this out, and updated the system software to detect excessive speed by seeing how rapidly the terminal switched from on satellite to another. This broke Ukraine's hack, and Starlink would no longer work at high speeds. Ukraine was using Starlink in a way that violated the terms of service. Starlink figured it out and stopped it.

Well, aren't you pleasant. My wife has dementia, and because of FSD, I can take her out. Driving with someone with dementia: They don't remember. So its like that "are we there yet joke", except they ask you where they're going. Then the ask how long it's going to take. Then they ask you where they're going... You do this a few cycles, and you start sounding grouchy, and then their feelings get hurt. Then you feel like shit. With FSD, I can focus on her instead of the road, and talk to her, and she's happy. I don't have a lot of time with her. So seriously, go into your kitchen, grab a cucumber, and shove it up your 🍑. Calling Elon Elmo doesn't make you edgy and cool, it makes you lame, and stupid. You have some kind of investment grift going on 𝕏 and you're trashing on a trillionaire. Repent. Choose not to be stupid. (Context: I pointed out that people who go around calling Elon Elmo are generally stupid. He just proved me right and blocked me, because he can dish it out, but can't take it, the big 🐈) FU @alojoh – at Oregon, USA

No one complaining about this understands that houses don't move at 100mph. – at Oregon, USA
Starlink/Starshield restrictions on Ukraine remain in place even after President Trump reportedly directed a resumption of full service. SpaceX must restore full service immediately. And Congress must find new partners to ensure Elon Musk and SpaceX do not execute a veto over U.S. national security.

Context: @DataRepublican's article saying we have to trust in God. Ok, 𝕏 ers , I want your best mocks. Lets laugh this color revolution out of existence. I'll start: Trump is a criminal mastermind? Have you seen him? Butler was faked? Er, ok, lets have you stand at a podium and I'll nick your ear with a rifle, but you have to turn your head exactly 20 degrees on 3. This is completely unacceptable. Civilians are dying because of Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s decisions. Americans do not support abandoning the people of Ukraine under Russian attack.

When you say something President Trump and his allies don't like, they run a play to intimidate you and to get you to shut up. It's not going to work. We can't let it.
