Doctors don’t like this as well. Often we have to take calls from frantic patients before we are aware of results. But this system and rules were mandated upon us. We do the best we can.
Healthcare is the only industry that drops your cancer scan results into an app at 11 PM on a Friday, then closes for the weekend.
No call. No context. Just a PDF full of words like "suspicious" and "cannot be excluded" and a little banner that says "Sleep well!"
Meanwhile billing found me in 4 hours 😐

So this dude cheered for me to kill myself back in May. And now in October he says “we are coming for you”. Also allegedly a War Department employee.
So since I didn’t kill myself, now he and his friends are going to come finish the job?
Another day ending in Y on Bluesky.

Just to get this straight, @turo : Your turo host lends out his Cybertruck on your platform with free supercharging, invoices me about 1000 US$ for supercharging , and according to your support, that’s just fine.
Ok, I call that fraud, but what do I know.

Be a shame if the surveillance state had a light shined on it. They're awfully secretive for "public information" company.

If JetBlue goes bankrupt, I would have to believe this would be the first time in history that the DOJ blocked a merger of two companies and then both went bankrupt. Great process. xitter.cf/Investingcom/status/21…

Let me get this straight.
A guy keeps getting weirdly targeted ads on his new Samsung TV.
So he breaks into his own TV to find out why. 1.2M people watch.
42 hours later, OpenAI deactivates his account. Reason: "Cyber Abuse."
His words: "i have never used openai to exploit or find vulnerabilities, only local reverse engineering"
Same week, people on r/claude say Claude now cuts off reverse-engineering write-ups MID-SENTENCE:
"A safety check stopped my response partway through creating the playbook"
The TV is fine.
The guy who opened it is the problem.

In Remembrance of Beirut
#OTD in 1983, a terrorist bombing at the Marine Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, claimed the lives of 241 U.S. service members, including 220 Marines, serving as part of the Multinational Force in Lebanon.
On October 23, a suicide bomber drove a truck laden with explosives into the barracks where U.S. Marines were stationed on a peacekeeping mission. The attack devastated the building and became one of the deadliest days in Marine Corps History.
The Marines in Beirut were deployed to help restore peace and stability amid escalating violence in Lebanon. Despite the dangers they faced, they carried out their mission with courage, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to one another.
The Beirut bombing left a lasting mark on the #MarineCorps and the nation. We remember the lost lives, honor the wounded and survivors, and recognize the families and loved ones who continue to carry the weight of that day. Their sacrifice remains woven into the legacy of every #Marine who has answered the call to serve.
Today, we pause to remember the 241 American service members who never made it home and honor their courage, sacrifice, and devotion to duty.
They came in peace. They will never be forgotten.

Sad news today. After 5 years of medical training, one of my mates has been struck off due to a minor discretion. He slept with one of his patients and can no longer do the job he loves. What a waste of time and money. Genuinely a great guy and a brilliant vet

I can help interpret: patient has metastatic cancer, awful diagnosis, “alternative” doctor gives her useless but harmless treatment, she develops brain mets so she needs the ER and IV steroids, MRI, seizure meds, consult with radiation oncology then immediate discharge, radiation will start in a week or so. The hospital and other doctors did everything correctly, she did not need her medical oncologist, she’ll need him in two weeks if she decides that vitamins and minerals have been a waste of time and money, and for a serious conversation about the realistic goals of therapy
I recently had a young mother in my office with an oncologic neurologic emergency.
We diagnosed new brain metastases on a CT scan.
I called her oncologist personally with the update. She told me, "She's not getting treated, she's just doing those vitamin C infusions."
In preparation for the ER, I called ahead to notify them about her. I requested to talk to a physician in the ER three times and was told, "We don't do that here."
This was a hospital I used to work at.
My patient was admitted to the ICU for 3 days, and not one person called me one time.
Let's get into how this entire story went sideways.
