1️⃣ US shows distention of the elbow joint capsule due to #synovitis on the anterior and posterior aspects of the elbow.
2️⃣By visualizing the affected areas of the elbow joint we corroborate the #OMERACT definition of synovitis.
3️⃣It was decided to infiltrate the joint from the posterior aspect, avoiding the triceps tendon. First, we use an in-plane technique to place the needle. Subsequently, by rotating the probe to obtain an out-of-plane technique, we verify steroid flow in the posterior (olecranon) recess.
