“Trump got a lot of votes in 2024 and now Republican turnout tanked after two years of him governing”
Wow thank you for making that observation

Trump had 555k votes in 2024. You got lucky there was limited Republican turnout.

Zondria Lansdowne, the founder of a nonprofit store that provides free groceries and clothes for families, flipped a Berkeley County Commission seat.
Berkeley County shifted 27 points, more than any other county in West Virginia.
This is what the Democratic Party should be!
Rachel Fetty Anderson raised $35k compared to Shelley Moore Capito’s $8.75m
Fetty Anderson had less funding support than many state house candidates around the country and was outraised by *250x*
West Virginia still shifted 21 points towards Democrats and 3 counties flipped

Currently the state with the best average performance among Democratic House candidates is ...West Virginia, +24D swing.
West Virginia voters support the government expanding healthcare at similar rates as Colorado voters, a blue state that’s increasingly blue.
Bigger role: 60% to 53%
Smaller role: 23% to 24%
Same role: 16% to 22%
Exit polls from West Virginia’s Senate race show 53% of West Virginia voters say government should play a bigger role in helping Americans get healthcare.

1. Only stupid people believe in allowing politicians to have the power to choose their own districts. That’s like trusting a used car salesman to set a fair price.
2. Most people have mixed bags of views and don’t fit neatly into these bullshit ideological labels.

Why would we let establishment RINOs and Communist Democrats control a mythological independent redistricting commission?
Only stupid people believe in "non-partisan" fairy tales.
Pass independent redistricting and then win 95% seats and come talk to me.

This seems rather stupid.
Will the legislature go from 95% republican to 85%?
Woah. That's gamechanging.

West Virginia's early vote through Oct 30: ~131K ballots, in-person plus absentee. That's 99% of the 2022 early vote, and in-person voting alone has passed 2022.
By party registration, it's R+2.5 so far. At the end of early voting it was R+10 in 2022 and R+19 in 2024. 🧵

We're now getting early voter data from the West Virginia SOS; here are some maps of early in-person voting by HD/SD. Compared with registered voters in WV, there's currently a 15-point statewide shift to DEMs. More data/comparisons to follow in this thread as we dissect.
