It’s cringe to see successful companies that have nothing to do with AI rebrand themselves as “an AI platform” because they think it will somehow help them.
Workday is a HR platform.
Sure, they added AI features like everyone else but was never “built with AI at the core”

Google has stolen this traffic back.
According to Ahrefs, traffic is falling off a cliff.
I do not see any rankings present, and using a site: search, only the homepage is currently indexed.
Do not embarrass Google.

Now I see a site with an auto-play ad that covers the main content on scroll and I instantly check if it was hit by Google's latest updates
Baring high authority sites, 85% of the time the answer is YES
Rarely have we seen a UX element so closely correlated with a Google update

Case study: “We increased traffic by 200% in just three months!”
Reality: You spent an entire quarter increasing traffic from 25 visitors to 75 visitors.

The importance of being clear in your copy
The creators had to explain the donut is supposed to be read as 'do not' as in 'do not go further without consent'
🤦♀️🤦🤦♂️
TLDR: If you have to explain it - then it's not clear or clever - start again

A guy on LinkedIn tried to dunk on me by saying he has 27 years of social media experience and I should therefore listen to him. He was being serious—left 7 comments on 3 different posts in 10 minutes.
27 years ago was 1996.
MySpace launched in 2003.
Facebook launched in 2004.

It's now possible to block ChatGPT's crawler on any website you control.
Added the block: it's a no-brainer.
Why? ChatGPT cites no sources. It's a one-way relationship where OpenAI takes what is published on the internet, and then doesn't give a single reference or link back.

My 25 year old sister has been averaging watching 2-4 hours of YouTube via the TV set, since just before the pandemic…
YouTube is literally becoming television and anyone under 25 uses it that way.
But it’s not just younger people.
My mother who is 60+ watches up 5-10 hours a week of YouTube on the 70in TV in my theater room…
My 29 year old brother watches YouTube and Twitch on a 40in TV a few times per week in between gaming.
The idea of making content production standards around mobile phones, doesn’t future proof you against these sorts of trends.

Give people money incentives: they will optimize for it.
Pay people for # of video views: clickbait thumbnails will follow. Pay for length of video watched: you’ll get frequent cuts to keep people watching.
Pay to get people to browse replies: “comment bait” posts will spread.

Affirmation for today: I am a man of *focus*.
Picked 3 items for completion this week should move the needle. Setup some bonus items just in case I accomplish more than I expect.
Keep the focus.

"Don't use commas!"
Stoppppp.

I’m gonna say it again: we are hugely lacking play-spaces open all hours of the week with spaces for parents to work. A play-space with wifi, tables, coffee, and a large window into a gym with counselors. I would pay a lot for this. Drop in, they play, you work and socialize.

Recently I went through the top 100 channels in each YouTube Category and in each category 70% or more of the Top Creators had published over 500+ Videos.
And typically the top 10% in each category had published 500-1000
Volume and consistency is the norm among the top channels. Yes with either above average or extraordinary quality, but in the beginning almost none of them (that weren't rich or media companies) had that to start.
The started with what little they had, where they were. There is a lesson in that.
The lesson isn't "make a ton of videos and you will grow". The lesson is, that MOST successful people don't inherently start out producing their best quality work or even THE best quality work among their peers.
They work at it, and improve, incrementally, 1% better every time they publish.
Their effort yields COMPOUND INTEREST over volume and over time...
And that has always been the OVERWHELMING constant in success.
Showing up more, and staying power.
But you can show up as you are (the best version you're capable of right now, for where you are).

One of the most passive/aggressive insults ever hurled at a creative is calling for a brainstorm: Let’s bring the whole team together and get into it / no bad ideas / a great idea can come from anyone because everyone is creative / this is how we harness our collective power.

May you have the courage to delete the 25 blog posts from 2017 & 2018 that get no traffic, have no links and ranks for keywords that have nothing to do with your business.
Remember:
Content maintenance is key.
Great marketing teams embrace it.
