I love Merthur when they do things that show how they care for each other, but more than that I love when they do things that show that they Know just how much the other cares for them, and then they try preemptively calm the other down or soften the blow if it comes for them

I swear I don't think so just because there are not a lot of characters left post-s5, Leon just makes so much sense as Gwen's adviser in the same capacity as Merlin was to Arthur, they have this synergy. Oddly, I imagine Merlin would be more of a first knight (sorcerer) to Gwen
