I got over my anxiety and did a round of phone banking for @AbdulElSayed. Not everyone answered, but out of those that did, every person said they already did or had plans to vote for him. The posts from others canvassing, phone banking and text banking are real.

From an actual Michigan voter, Hasan Piker getting involved in the Senate race was a good thing. He’s one of the only people who can mobilize young voters while also somehow being the only force that exposes Israel first Democrats.

please find one (1) democrat in the nation that will condemn this statement that haley stevens is a petulant child and a ratfucker over a deeply unpopular issue like Israel (as unpopular as full blown abortion bans)

El-Sayed credits the Civil Rights movement and the Immigration Act of 1965 for his life in America: "In churches like this in the civil rights era, they undid the racist quotas that blocked people from immigrating from countries in Africa."

‼️ Spent the day canvassing in Detroit. There’s a genuine feeling of betrayal, especially amongst Black voters, a demographic Haley Stevens won in the primary. She’s going against the coveted Obama endorsement in a county that’s been Democrat since 1978. I spoke to many people, mainly Black voters. Here are a few of the comments I heard.
- Black female voter in 40s: “I voted for her in August but now she’s really an internet celebrity (Hasan Piker) for why she’s going MAGA instead of her MAGA boyfriend? She can go but we’re not going with her.”
- Jewish college student voter in 20s: “Haley Stevens isn’t Black or Jewish but she’s using us as a crutch and blaming Hasan Piker for becoming a Republican. We voted blue no matter who, why can’t she?”
- Sikh college student voter in 20s: “I obviously voted for Abdul in the primary and again now. If Haley won the primary, I would’ve voted for her so we could beat Mike Rogers. Looks like she couldn’t do the same.”
- White male voter in 50s: “I’m a Democrat through and through. Haley Stevens lied to us and told us she was too.”
‼️ Haley Stevens endorsement seems to be having the opposite effect. I’ve been out here for a couple hours and I haven’t met any Democrats for Mike Rogers voters and I’ve now spoken to four Haley primary voters that made a point they’re going to vote for Abdul on Tuesday. I’ve continued to hear hate for Rogers and Trump, as expected here.

A 2007 clip of Abdul El-Sayed delivering the commencement speech at the University of Michigan is going viral.
"Like any true Michigan man, I'm always eager to spread the good word about Michigan."

Haley Stevens lied to me. I will not sit by while she tries to use Black folks as a prop and costs us our lives. Vote for @AbdulElSayed.

Haley Stevens has no problem using the Black community when it’s convenient for her, but as soon as it wasn’t, she defected to an anti-Black, anti-Muslim MAGA Republican.
We are spiraling towards authoritarianism and she’d rather serve us up to a fascist regime than vote for the Democratic nominee.
Don't fall for fearmongering or division. Vote Abdul. Defeat fascism.

Haley Stevens’ betrayal today shows us it’s not that progressive Democrats, or even democratic socialists, need their own party. It’s that politicians like Haley Stevens always had more in common with Republicans like Mike Rogers and Donald Trump than with the Democratic base. And now she admits it.
That’s why it’s so important to run democratic primaries. It’s not enough to send Democrats to Washington, we have to send Democrats who are fighting for the things working class voters want!

Using black voters as a prop to embrace a racist who will do nothing but rubber stamp this fascist administration is shameful behavior and every Democrat that *actually* wants to win back the Senate should condemn this.
We CANNOT let Mike Rogers win, sign up to phone-bank for Abdul now and help get the vote out! Link below ⬇️

Stevens says she’s for investing in Black owned businesses. “And that’s the policy that Mike’s going to take on,” Stevens says.

Rep. Haley Stevens’ staff is right to resign in disgust. They understand that the election in Michigan is far more important than Haley’s fragile ego and that all of us must stand together to elect Abdul, defeat Rogers and end the Republican rubber-stamp control of the Senate.
New: Statement from Haley Stevens’ chief of staff Justin German confirms many of her team have resigned & they back Abdul El-Sayed for #MISen
“We are shocked and heartbroken by Congresswoman Stevens’ decision to support Mike Rogers.”

Working class people’s lives are on the ballot on Tuesday—their healthcare, their rent, their bills.
Haley Stevens just betrayed them by endorsing the very Republican she said she wanted to run against.
