Today, the Inspectorate has published a new thematic report in collaboration with @HMIPrisons, focusing on the quality of work undertaken with women. Here, the Chief Inspector of Probation, Martin Jones shares his views on the report. ow.ly/P5Nl50ROzka
ALT Quote from HM Chief Inspector Martin Jones CBE reads: "Our joint inspection with HMI Prisons has found that progress has been far too slow. Too often, services for women fall far short of the gender-informed approaches that were envisioned, meaning safe spaces where women can be offered support and rehabilitation are not available to those who need them.”
Thanks to a grant from the @Fidelity_UK Foundation, three of our regional teams were able to organise a series of activities for women who’ve had contact with the criminal justice system and are receiving support from Advance.

On #InternationalWomensDay, meet the women using theatre to challenge our perceptions of the criminal justice system.
@CleanBrk is a women-led theatre company, founded in 1979 by two women in prison. See how they've inspired positive change for women in prison & the community.
