After brain injury it's hard to find the right words to make an explanation so we default to 'it's ok" or "I'm fine" even if we aren't. If you know a survivor, there could be more going on than they say. #braininjury #invisibledisability #itsokaynottobeokay

#Braininjury is none of those things. Some days will be better, some will be worse. Every day - good or bad will eventually be over w/opportunity for the next to be better. &if it isn't better, at least it'll be a different day.

This is brain injury.
I look busy. I probably look a little crazy. But it's kind a like spinning my wheels. So much effort but not much progress. Mostly because I forgot which direction I was moving in to begin with #braininjury #braininjuryawareness #executivefunction

Mental Health after brain injury is tricky, taboo and poorly understood.
Maybe we can spread awareness to help.

We don't feel like it'll be ok, but somehow, it'll be ok.
Ok looks & feels different than before your injury, but ok will come.

1. #Congratulations! What a great accomplishment
2. Listen to your brain & body.
You may find you need more of a routine to help you stay on track and remember everything you need to. You may #fatigue quickly.Brain breaks will help.
