Some news: I’m joining OpenAI to lead product management for Core Products! I have a lot of respect for OpenAI for showing the world that scaling works, for bringing AI to over a billion people, and for believing great products are core to the mission. I’m excited to work with @thsottiaux, an incredible PM team, and everyone across OpenAI. Together, we’ll build agents that have your back and your team’s, and keep you in control, so you get more time for the people and work you love. Lots to learn, and lots to build. Please keep your feedback coming!

Today we’re announcing that OpenAI will acquire @pierrecomputer to accelerate our vision for making Codex a place where teams can build software together with AI, from first idea to the version they ship. Pierre’s open-source developer tools already power parts of Codex today. Together, we’ll build on that foundation for the agentic era. openai.com/index/openai-to-a…

Friday was my last day at Anthropic. Two years ago, when Claude Code was a small internal tool, I asked it to build an RL env. I steered it for tens of hours but never manually wrote a line of code. It worked, I was hooked, and I joined the team. When we first launched, most people approved every permission prompt by hand and mostly used Claude to answer questions and write tests.  Today, the default is trusting Claude's judgment to auto-approve. Claude does large migrations and builds new products.  Helping build Claude Code into an industry-defining product has been the journey of a lifetime.  Thank you to the incredible team behind Claude Code, Cowork, and Tag. These products are the sum of thousands of great ideas from you. I'll miss working with you all. Thank you to our users for embracing a new way of working. Your constant feedback shaped so much of what we shipped and your stories made the work so meaningful. Excited to see what you all make next!

today is a sad day for the web, and for a11y. but on the bright side, hopefully this is the last time i'll have to explain why buttons and controls should not have `cursor: pointer` alas, it is tiring trying to help you dorks. github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/…

We built Pando, a new Git backend for our monorepo, to handle more pushes and fetches without changing how our engineers and agents use Git. Pando cut push latency by ~80% and now serves nearly a petabyte of Git data a day. We can grow Git capacity alongside agent usage.

Just got a phishing email that Gmail authenticated as Google. DKIM/DMARC passed. I can see a lot of people falling for this one, since it plays to the idea that your account has already been compromised. Scammer puts the scam in an app-password name, triggers a real Google alert, then forwards the alert email to your email address. How this attack works, and why it’s convincing: 1. The trick: The attacker puts the threatening text and shortened URL into an app password’s customizable name on another account. Google incorporates that text into a real security notification and signs the email. 2. The delivery: That notification is forwarded through another mailbox to the victim. In this message, Gmail still recorded passing Google DKIM and DMARC authentication. 3. What makes it convincing: The Google sender, signature, branding, and “Check activity” button are legitimate. The suspected attacker-supplied text appears inside the same trusted-looking template, using a deadline to push you toward its separate link. 4. The giveaway: Both the notification and its genuine Google button refer to someone else’s account. The “permanent access after 24 hours” claim is false; app passwords can be revoked. Be careful out there folks!

🚨the man who built Claude Code can’t wait to delete it. the model got too smart for its own tool.
Boris Cherny, creator of Claude Code: "I'm actually really excited for the day when we can delete Claude Code." his reason: the model is now so capable that the product is holding it back. think about that. the person who built the tool wants to delete it. the harness was there to help a weaker model. Opus 5.5 doesn't need as much of it. full talk in the post below ↓

We've evaluated Gemini 4 Carbon and Gemini 4 Argon on FrontierCode 2.0, our coding benchmark that measure's a model's ability to go beyond the spec. Gemini 4 Carbon scores near SOTA with a score of 40% and a cost of $4.04 per task, behind Claude Opus 5.5, GPT-6 Astra, and Claude Sonnet 5.5. Gemini 4 Argon scores 26.3% with a cost of $6.41 per task, ahead of Muse Wonder 1.0, but behind Claude Haiku 5.5 and Grok 4.7. See the leaderboard with full scores: cognition.com/frontiercode

Day 25/ We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today. We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage. And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.

Dynamic workflows don't have to be hundreds of subagents btw! I use them for any task I want to rerun the same way, even just ~10 subagents It's a JavaScript file you can edit, so you have full control over the subagents and the order they run in. More predictable than a skill!
