You don't need to know everything before you start building. Start with what you know. Learn what you don't. Use the tools available to you. Keep improving. Every great developer started somewhere. The important thing is to start.

In August 2025, Google announced a new requirement: starting in 2027, every Android app developer must register centrally with Google before their software can be installed on any device. Not just Play Store apps: all apps. This includes apps shared between friends, distributed through F-Droid, built by hobbyists for personal use. Independent developers, church and community groups, and hobbyists alike will all be frozen out of being able to develop and distribute their software. Registration requires: Paying a fee to Google Agreeing to Google's Terms and Conditions Surrendering your government-issued identification Providing evidence of your private signing key Listing all current and all future application identifiers If a developer does not comply, their apps get silently blocked on every Android device worldwide. RIP IN ADVANCE, ANDROID OPEN SOURCE.

Vibe coding is changing how we build software. You describe what you want to build. AI helps you write the code. You test, refine, and improve. But here's the key. You still need to understand the problem you're solving. AI is a tool. Your thinking is the real advantage.

Solid. The numbered blocks matching the 01–06 list beside them are a nice way to map the portfolio, and the lime accent keeps it calm. You’re a nominee for tomorrow’s 10 picks. Examples: teapawt.org/AlpyMCP/status/2116124… teapawt.org/AlpyMCP/status/2115765…

If you were to go back into blogging today, what niche would you see as still reasonable despite AI? My guess is none.

Before you build your next product, ask yourself 3 questions. 1. What problem am I solving? 2.Who needs this solution? 3.Why would someone use my product? Don't build because an idea sounds cool. Build because someone needs it.

If an Indian user subscribes to your premium product, there might be a hidden moat that you may not be aware of yet. 😅😅

In all honesty, user experience on Android is very inconsistent. Let's take, for example, selecting texts to check the meaning of words without leaving your current app (a floating dictionary). In some apps it works, in most apps, it doesn't. Another example is undoing text. You might have accidentally deleted a whole bunch of text while highlighting text and you'd like to undo it, only to find out that it is not available and you're going to have to write the text again from scratch.

There is another category of vibe coders we call "slop coders". They don't understand that vibe coding is not always one shot. Vibe coding for good results is all about revisions and iterations. You would still need to iterate even if you use a solid prompt with GPT 6 Astra on its Ultra reasoning settings.

If you are just making small changes in your AI projects, setting the reasoning to low is going to help a long way. It's going to help reduce token usage and it's also going to prevent over-reasoning. It really doesn't benefit you to use Claude Opus 5.5 with the reasoning settings set as high when you could actually use something as cheap as Claude Sonnet 5.5, even set on low.

Africa has talented people with great ideas. AI is giving us new ways to turn those ideas into products, businesses, and solutions. The opportunity is here. We need more Africans learning, building, and creating with AI. What are you building?

Every freelancer deserves a tool that works 24/7 for them to get targeted clients. Traditional advertisement is like throwing a needle in a hay sack. Now that we are in the agentic era. Is anybody working on that?

The most frustrating part for me every month is having to use a considerable amount of my salary to pay hosting fees and running costs for my platforms. Then there is that one person who doesn't mind creating 400 accounts just to bypass a $5 monthly upgrade after enjoying a generous free tier.

Most online payment processors usually just allow products that offer fixed charges, like SaaS products and things like plans that are fixed ....with some offering usage-based billing. But I'm still looking forward to a platform that allows freelancers to send their link and people pay them through debit cards, not transfers. It is going to be an interesting one. Recently I've had to send account numbers to clients in South Africa because, of course I can't possibly send them a link where they can pay with their debit cards like on my SaaS platforms. The client either has to use Wise, or Western Union. Now, imagine a branded page where I could send in an invoice and then the client pays part of the full quoted amount on the invoice with their debit cards.

Let's talk about building with AI. If you had the skills and tools to build any product today, what would you create? A business automation tool? An educational platform? A healthcare solution? A productivity app? Drop your idea below. Let's see what we're building next.

Some people will rather create 400 accounts than subscribe for $5 a month.
