🚨Hyundai’s $1 Billion R&D Hub Finally Takes Off in Telangana
Hyundai’s $1 billion Global Innovation R&D Centre is finally moving forward at NIMZ Zaheerabad!
Spread across 678 acres, this project is expected to create 4,276 jobs in phases.
The facility will include a global R&D centre linked to Hyundai’s South Korean unit, a testing track, pilot manufacturing line and prototyping facilities, with a focus on compact cars for global markets.
This is a big boost for Telangana’s automotive and R&D ecosystem! Telangana is also pitching itself as a potential destination for Hyundai’s future car manufacturing plans.
Hopefully, we’ll see some Hyundai ancillaries and suppliers setting up their R&D and Manufacturing units in NIMZ too.

Commissioner’s Joint Field Inspection | Uppal Flyover & Uppal Stadium Road
The Commissioner, Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC), along with officials from the Survey of India (SOI) and other concerned departments, conducted joint inspections at Uppal Flyover and Uppal Stadium Road to review land requirements and facilitate road infrastructure development.
🔹 Uppal Flyover – Land Acquisition & Compensation: Officials identified and reviewed the affected 0.78 acres of Survey of India land, including compound walls and sheds at Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) School. The requirement for payment of applicable compensation was discussed.
🔹 Uppal Stadium Road – 36-Metre (120-Feet) Road Widening: The Commissioner reviewed the proposed road widening works and the requirement for acquisition of SOI land, including compound walls, to facilitate the project.
🔹 Removal of Temporary Barricading: The Commissioner directed the concerned CCP and CP officials to remove the temporary barricading sheets around the NSL building to facilitate road widening.
The inspections focused on interdepartmental coordination, addressing land-related requirements and facilitating road widening to improve traffic movement and civic infrastructure.
