Clarifying this tweet.
Using nvidia inspector or 3rd party software to remove smokes, grass or changing textures (we've all seen the clips) is considered bannable.
In season 3, if you have one of these settings set, you will be blocked from playing with a warning popup on launch politely asking you to close the game and change the settings. If you force a work around this warning to continue playing with unfair advantages, we consider that bannable.
Seperately, In WARDOGS we don't allow users to set 'potato shadows' via ingame settings unless we've detected their hardware is min spec. In Season 3, we will be forcing a reset of this setting on launch to prevent users who dont need this setting using it. If you force a work around to this (to be clear, specifically potato shadows NOT potato mode) on higher end hardware than the users it's intended for, we will consider this bannable from Season 3.
This will be re-iterated in the final Season 3 patch notes next week. Thanks.

Helicopter Cheating in @WARDOGS has become exceptionally advanced/bad alongside Artillery Tanks & Mortars.
Now there is 'magic bullet' for rockets, and a "MAWS" system. MAWS is Missile Advance Warning System. It gives you notice of incoming projectile locked on with a range count down.
Cheating in Wardogs is at an exceptionally high level right now and I'm highly recommending you play on community servers with active Administration. The anti cheat isn't able to take care of the cheaters, they are always one step ahead.
But with a community run server (yes I know 99% loathe them because fedora wearing reddit style moderation) at least you'll be protected for the most part, from cheaters.

I'm not sure why server admins can't have this when I know the developers have it, and now cheaters.
This cheater has a birds eye / gm style camera to instantly dial in their mortars to hit target first time every time. So many nights I spent wondering how the other mortar guy was able to dial me in on first crack so quickly without firing a test round.
Now it makes sense, they are just cheating.
This camera lets them get a direct top down view and wherever they put the cross hair it launches the mortars. Incredible.

ANNOUNCEMENT 📢
Season 2 was meant to be a fresh start, and for a lot of you it hasn't felt like one. We sped up progression on deliberately and tried to balance the game better, as set out in the patch notes, but it was the wrong call.
Some players are reaching end game gear like Tier 4 armour and MBTs within days, so the wipe never really landed.
Some things are clearly out of balance and we'll fix them. Others have the community split, so we want to see how those play out first.
We won't be doing a knee jerk reset this weekend, as that would be unfair on everyone already enjoying the climb. Instead, we're looking at significantly bringing forward Season 3 and some of its content, so you get a proper fresh start. More details in our dev vlog next week.

I had an idea @Brammflakes @phantasyftw for how to keep sweats a little less sweaty. Here is the idea, when a player hit WD 100 they have the chance to prestige for gold bars. Say 10-15 or something to “reset” themselves back to WD rank 1. Totally optional but incentivized. Thoughts?
