Félix, you can laugh at everyone else, but one joke about Kagame’s wardrobe sends you straight to personal accusations.
If you have evidence of theft, publish it. Posting my photograph beside a money bag proves only that you can assemble a collage.
For someone handing out ridicule, you take satire remarkably badly.
Félix, I put my name to my arguments. Put evidence behind your accusations.
Calling me a “terrorist financier” does not explain your 7% figure or establish why funding ended. Publish the source and define what it counts.
And shouting “AI-generated” is no rebuttal. Which fact is false? Which figure is wrong? Which conclusion can you disprove?
If you have evidence, present it. Your insults have already had their turn.
The self-styled Rwandan opposition continues to sink to new lows, attacking Rwanda for having successfully moved away from aid dependency.
This terrorist financier, @iRusagara , behind this AI-generated rubbish, clearly doesn't understand that foreign aid now accounts for only about 7% of Rwanda's national budget.
Apparently, even that achievement is something he wants to blame on President #Kagame !
@RNCongress
@SamuelBaker_B @AAli0781
Félix, apparently defending Kagame now includes applauding headlines about Rwanda’s exclusion. How low have you set the bar?
The athletes cannot compete with your laughing emojis. Give them a serious explanation of why you find their setback so entertaining.
Kagame’s Budget Is So Tight After America and Britain Cut Him Off That He Had to Wear a Dress to Meet King Charles
Fellow Rwandans, the situation is desperate. Our beloved President Paul Kagame has been reduced to wearing what can only be described as a dress while standing next to King Charles and other Commonwealth leaders.
This is what happens when the Americans and the British finally stop writing blank cheques.
I am personally contributing $2,000 — enough for one decent Italian suit and a pair of matching shoes — so our Head of State can stop embarrassing the nation on the world stage. Please dig deep. Our leader is walking around looking like he lost a bet with the palace tailor.
Give generously. Dignity is expensive.
rwandanationalcongress-rnc.o…
Félix, even accepting your 1.9% figure, you have confused the size of an existing market with the value of preferential access to it. A small export share does not make losing trade benefits an economic achievement.
What year is your figure from, what is its source, and how does it answer my argument about future opportunities?
Calling me a “terrorist” supplies none of those answers. Neither does questioning my qualifications. If your economic argument were strong, it would survive without the insults.
Explain why losing those opportunities benefits Rwandan businesses and workers. They deserve an answer, not a performance of loyalty to Kagame.
The United States ranks as Rwanda's 5th largest export destination globally, representing 1.9% of the country's total merchandise export market.
You have no capacity to advise the government on trade matters. If you genuinely believe otherwise, you are seriously deluded. Being a member of a terrorist outfit like RNC does not automatically make you a trade expert. You are simply embarrassing yourself.
The argument is deliberately misleading. The significance of AGOA is not just how much Rwanda currently exports to the US, but the preferential market access, investment opportunities, and economic growth it creates.
Losing access sends a much bigger message about the credibility of Kagame’s government and its international conduct.
And if the benefits are supposedly insignificant, why is there so much effort to minimize the consequences?
A government that claims economic success should welcome accountability, not manufacture excuses for its failures.
Rwanda is not Kagame’s personal property, and the country’s economic future should not be sacrificed to protect his political survival.
The textile benefits had already been suspended for a long time. Today, Rwandan exports to the USA hover around 30 to 43 million dollars per year, amounting to just 1 to 2% of the country's total exports.
Coffee, tea, and especially minerals (coltan, tungsten, tin, gold) already benefit from very low or zero tariffs outside of AGOA.
So excluding Rwanda from AGOA in 2027 is a bit like threatening someone with taking away a benefit they hardly use anymore.
This is a desperate attempt to disguise authoritarianism as national security!
Rwanda ranking first in Sub-Saharan Africa on one dimension of the Rule of Law Index does not erase political repression, the persecution of opposition, the absence of genuine political pluralism, or documented violations of human rights.
And invoking the FDLR does not give Kagame a blank cheque to destabilize eastern DRC, support armed groups, and undermine regional sovereignty.
Legitimate security concerns must be addressed through lawful and accountable means, not used as an excuse for military adventurism.
Stop confusing Rwanda with Kagame’s regime. The security of a nation is not the security of one ruler.
The US justifies excluding Rwanda from AGOA by citing concerns about the rule of law, human rights, workers’ rights, political pluralism, and regional security. Yet the World Justice Project’s 2026 Rule of Law Index ranks Rwanda first in Sub-Saharan Africa, with the country outperforming the United States on order and security.
The selective invocation of human rights and democracy is particularly ironic. These arguments have become familiar political language in Washington, applied to virtually any country or region where the US seeks to advance its interests.
As for the alleged threats to US national security and foreign policy interests, one has to ask: could Rwanda’s legitimate security concerns over the FDLR be part of what Washington is referring to? Rwanda’s central security concern in eastern DRC remains the FDLR, a group whose continued presence and activities along its borders pose a direct threat to Rwanda’s national security.
If authentic, this letter reads like an obituary for Kagame’s era of impunity. The strongman image is cracking. Public relations cannot restore lost credibility.
Kagame may still hold office, but the myth that his regime is untouchable is collapsing.
@PaulKagame @onduhungirehe @YolandeMakolo
Rwanda’s Strongman Is Losing the Fight Against His Own Skin
As is increasingly evident, General Paul Kagame’s face shows widespread skin disease.
The photograph of the Rwandan strongman in Senegal on 31 October 2026 is a clinical indictment in plain sight. This is on top of external and internal disasters the General is facing.
For once, Kagame ought to think of Rwanda first, step aside, and let able people govern while he urgently seeks medical attention abroad.
rwandanationalcongress-rnc.o…
This is far more than a diplomatic setback for Kagame; it is a direct indictment of the political and economic system he has built around himself.
For years, his government has marketed Rwanda as a model of stability, development, and good governance while suppressing political opposition and projecting military power beyond its borders. Washington’s actions expose the growing contradiction between that carefully manufactured image and the realities of Rwanda’s conduct.
The targeting of the Ministry of Defence and Zigama CSS is particularly significant because it strikes at the financial and institutional infrastructure supporting the military establishment. Combined with the impending loss of AGOA trade privileges, these measures send a clear message: economic partnerships and international legitimacy cannot be used as shields against accountability for human rights abuses and regional destabilization.
Kagame must not be allowed to turn national economic hardship into another sacrifice demanded of the population to protect his political survival.
Rwanda does not need another propaganda campaign or an expensive international image makeover. It needs accountable leadership, genuine political pluralism, respect for human rights, and an end to military interference in the DRC.
WASHINGTON SUFFOCATES KAGAME’S REGIME: DECISIVE CRACKDOWN ESCALATES
Washington is systematically dismantling Paul Kagame’s grip on power, unleashing a ruthless barrage of sanctions that targets the very survival of his regime.
The onslaught began with targeted strikes against Rwandan generals fueling the conflict in the DR Congo, swiftly expanding into a blanket assault on the country’s military apparatus.
In a crushing blow to Kagame's inner circle, the U.S. blacklisted the entire Ministry of Defence and frozen its billion-dollar financial engine, Zigama CSS. Now, Washington has choked off the broader economy by expelling Rwanda from AGOA—instantly killing a $43.3 million trade lifeline.
Kagame is officially cornered, and Washington is already positioning itself to deliver the knockout blow.

The UN must explain how it can keep paying Rwanda’s defence establishment for peacekeeping while that same establishment faces sanctions over its conduct in Congo. This contradiction demands an answer.
A BLUE HELMET CANNOT SHIELD A SANCTIONED MILITARY FROM ACCOUNTABILITY.
The Rwanda National Congress and affiliated civil-society organizations have submitted an open letter to UN Secretary-General António Guterres and senior UN officials demanding the removal of Rwandan forces from UN peacekeeping missions.
The letter raises a fundamental contradiction: how can the United Nations continue deploying and reimbursing forces linked to a defence establishment sanctioned by the United States over Rwanda’s military involvement in the Democratic Republic of Congo and its support for M23?

SANCTIONS LAND IN KIGALI. THE PROTEST COMES FROM KABILA’S FRN.
Washington sanctions Rwanda, and FRN cries foul. Whose sovereignty are you defending—Congo’s or Kigali’s?
You call the war “Congolese” but rush to defend Rwanda when its role comes under pressure.
Why does accountability for Kigali strike such a nerve in your movement?

BAMPORIKI’S RETURN: PRESIDENTIAL AUTHORITY, A CRIMINAL RECORD AND UNITY CLUB’S CREDIBILITY
Édouard Bamporiki’s appointment as Executive Secretary of Unity Club Intwararumuri raises two serious questions: who has the authority to appoint him, and how does his criminal record align with the institution’s mission?
First, Unity Club presents itself as a nongovernmental organization with its own governing bodies. Why, then, is its Executive Secretary appointed through a presidential announcement signed by the Prime Minister?
Which provision of the Club’s statutes authorizes this procedure?
Was there a formal decision by its competent governing body?
“In Consultation with Unity Club Intwararumuri” does not explain the legal basis for presidential involvement.
Second, Bamporiki was convicted of corruption-related offences, including abuse of authority, sentenced to imprisonment and later granted a presidential pardon. That history demands scrutiny when he is entrusted with running an institution that promotes ethical leadership.
Rehabilitation deserves respect. Appointment to institutional leadership requires a separate justification: demonstrated integrity, suitability and a credible selection process.
Unity Club should publish the appointment’s legal basis, explain its internal approval process and state why Bamporiki was considered suitable despite his record.
When the same presidency grants clemency and subsequently announces the beneficiary’s appointment to an organization chaired by the First Lady, questions about independence and accountability are unavoidable.
How can Unity Club credibly promote ethical leadership without answering them? Cyangwa ni UBUDASA?

Jean Paul, @jpturayishimye, what are your real intentions—to establish the truth, or to spread a smear while hiding behind “I am not endorsing the message”?
You amplify a serious accusation, tag me, and demand that I defend myself. What did you verify before circulating it?
This is cheap, and it leaves you naked before the very audience you are trying to impress. Your disclaimer cannot conceal your decision to give the accusation a wider platform.
If you have evidence, present it. Otherwise, stop dressing gossip up as accountability.
My refusal to entertain baseless allegations is not an admission. Sir, I will not dignify every smear with a rebuttal!
Your decision to amplify them is yours to explain.

ALARM OVER ALLEGED THREATS AGAINST RWANDAN DISSIDENTS IN MAINE
Someone has informed me of an alleged threat against Rwandan dissidents in Maine. As a Rwandan dissident living here, I take this warning personally. I am concerned for my own safety and that of others in our community.
According to the information shared with me, Ambassador Martin Ngoga visited Maine last week and was hosted at the Sanford home of Omar Masudi, president of the RPF in Maine. He also reportedly met Landry Kwizera, president of the Rwandese community in Maine, at his home in Brunswick.
My source told me that the visit involved efforts to find a way to harm Rwandan dissidents in Maine. This serious allegation demands urgent investigation by U.S. authorities.
Omar Masudi and Landry Kwizera both obtained political asylum in the United States after reporting persecution by the Rwandan government. They should understand, better than anyone, why reports of threats against dissidents must be taken seriously. Their decision to host a representative of the same government they sought protection from raises questions they should address openly.
Omar and Landry: you are free to choose your political affiliations and whom you meet. But no political loyalty justifies helping anyone threaten, intimidate, or harm fellow Rwandans. Do not allow your homes, connections, or community positions to become instruments of persecution. Anyone who assists criminal conduct must face accountability under U.S. law.
Ambassador Ngoga: do not dare target Rwandan dissidents in Maine. Do not mistake diplomatic office for a license to intimidate or harm us. Any attempt to organize, finance, or carry out violence here must face the full force of U.S. law. We will speak out. We will report threats. We will demand accountability.
I call on U.S. authorities to investigate this information urgently, assess the risks to Rwandan dissidents in Maine, and determine whether protective measures are needed.
We will not be intimidated into silence. We have the right to live safely, speak freely, and criticize the Rwandan government without fear.
@FBIBoston @SenatorCollins @SenAngusKing @chelliepingree @martin_ngoga
I don’t dispute that being in the opposition does not mean we must agree on everything. But equating fellow opposition members with regime propagandists requires evidence, not sweeping accusations.
When disagreement turns into personal attacks, you owe people an explanation:
What principles are you defending, and how does discrediting those challenging the regime advance the change you claim to support?
SGT major Robert Kabera asked for protection. Today, we mourn him💔💔
Sgt. Maj. Robert Kabera is dead. Behind that devastating news is a man who fled his country, feared for his safety, and put those fears in writing.
On September 11, 2021, he appealed to local authorities in Uganda for help. He described accusations circulating against him in Rwandan media, denied them, and said he was unsafe. He wanted his plea forwarded to the police and refugee protection agencies.
Three days later, a local council chairman wrote in support of his appeal, acknowledging his fears and urgently requesting help for his safety.
These letters are heartbreaking to read today. They carry the voice of a man asking to be allowed to live in safety.
Robert deserved protection. His loved ones deserved more time with him. Now they deserve answers.
Ugandan authorities must conduct a credible, independent investigation into his killing, examine his documented fears, and establish who was responsible—whoever they are.
Rest in peace, Robert Kabera. Your plea must not be buried with you.
Exile should offer refuge. It must never become a death sentence.
BREAKING: SGT MAJOR ROBERT KABERA
Rwandan dissident Sgt. Maj. Robert Kabera has reportedly been killed in Uganda.
We call for an urgent, independent investigation into his death. Those responsible must be identified and held accountable.
Exile must not become a death sentence.
