RE: SENATOR ROCHAS OKOROCHA’S REMARKS ON PETER OBI’S SINGLE-TERM COVENANT We have reviewed Senator Rochas Okorocha’s comments on Channels Television’s *Politics Today*. We accept his description of Peter Obi as “a fantastic gentleman; clear in his head.” On the claim that a single term is “a four-year gambling,” we respectfully disagree. Section 135(2) of the 1999 Constitution provides that a President shall leave office after four years and may seek a further four years. In law, “may” is permissive, not mandatory. A single term is therefore constitutional. It is not a gamble. Nigeria already tested an eight-year tenure between 2015 and 2023. The result was rising inflation, a weakened naira, soaring public debt, widespread poverty, and insecurity across the country. That is the real balance sheet of prolonged tenure without performance. Peter Obi’s offer is a performance bond, not a gamble. He has pledged to serve one term, to be judged strictly by results, and to hand over power in 2031 in recognition that it is the turn of the North. This is sacrifice for national stability. Leadership is measured by impact, not duration. Nigeria’s problem has never been insufficient time. It has been the repeated failure to use time well. Mr. Obi proposes to reverse that culture: one term dedicated entirely to delivery. When a man entitled to eight years voluntarily chooses four and invites the nation to judge him by results, he is not gambling. He is sacrificing. This is not a gamble. It is a rescue mission with a deadline. Signed, Mallam Ibrahim Hussain Abdulkarim Director-General National Campaign Council Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) #VoteNDC #NigeriaWillBeOK

From East to North, From South to West, the message is clear “Rig and Die”. Nigerians are frustrated, hungry, and dying, and the only way to change government is through the ballot and you say their votes will not count? Put body my guy!

Nigeria is long due for a great reset, this reset can either come through a peaceful ballot revolution or a violent revolution. In 2023, Nigerians tried the ballot revolution, went through the courts and the system fought and stood against them. In 2027, Nigerians have decided that they will no longer go to court because we have all come to that realization that the judiciary is now an arm of the APC. We will try to do the ballot revolution once again but if the system tries to stop it, the Nigerians I see today are ready to do the alternative type of revolution. As at today, INEC and all organs of government are no longer pretending to do the right thing, they are now frontal in going against their constitutional mandate and responsibilities, they are no longer afraid to say they are all working towards the one goal of “Tinubu’s mandate”. Soludo was bold enough to say they now have an elite consensus, he needs to also know that there is also the consensus of the long suffering poor people of Nigeria, they shouldn’t ignore that. On January 16, 2027, Nigerians are ready to give it all, including their lives to save their country. Rig and Die is not just a slogan, it is a resolve of a people who have decided that enough is enough!! #RigAndDie

The reality on the ground: This was President Tinubu’s arrival in Kaduna earlier today. People were chanting “Bamayi Bamayi,” and look at how the road was clear for him to pass. I think he needs to go back and watch how the good people of Kaduna used to welcome the late President Muhammadu Buhari, then compare it to this. Those around Mr President should better tell him the truth, this is a sign of total rejection.

Yet, You People Will Still Come Online To Gaslight Us Into Believing That The Country Is Doing Well Under Tinubu.
