Good morning @Brooks_UGA I implore you to read through this thread sir, and respectfully ask your consideration for changes and improvements for our in-game fan experience. Below is part of a DM I received from a UGA employee that wishes to remain unnamed: “About 5 years ago or so, they lost their main producer to the NFL. They brought in a person who knew nothing about sports. She didn’t know the difference between a tackle and a sack. And she hired a bunch of people who didn’t know sports. They knew how to run the machines/equipment but were oblivious to sports. Since then they’ve promoted from with in that group and it’s slowly gone down hill. The person that is in charge now couldn’t tell you the difference between and cornerback and a safety. They’ve hired kids from Grady that can halfway edit a video, but know little to nothing about football. Which means they don’t understand the intricacies of when a big moment in a game is. And even if they did, they’re in a control room that has no direct view of the field. So they literally have to see everything through a camera feed, which means they can’t hear the crowd and get a feel for the game. That’s the video production/scoreboard side. The promotion group is the most stale of any group in the whole department. It’s a handful of folks who have been there for years on years and are just mailing it in at this point.” Thank you sir for reading this.
